Explaining the essence of "liberation." Each in its own essence, The essence of liberation from the body is: The great self-radiance is clear. The essence of liberation from objects is: Awareness, insubstantial, a precious treasury. The essence of liberation from the mind is: Non-conceptual, immaculate, self-luminous. The definition of "liberation" is: Completely transcending the nature of effort, Not bound by the three confusions, Therefore, it has definition and reason. The classification is explained at the time of essence. For example, a snake unties the knots on its body, Like the knots on its tail, As it is said. That is to say, this liberation has a part of abandonment that transcends the Dharma of Samsara, and a part of maturation and realization where the qualities of the three bodies of transcendence over suffering manifest. Therefore, from the perspective of mainly showing the former aspect, this nature of liberation is established, just as the fruit has not yet ripened, and later the fruit will be truly explained.
