Explanation of the nature of liberation. Explanation of the nature of liberation. Second (or third, considering) Explanation of the nature of liberation: essence, definition, name, classification, and analogy, these five. First, divided into common and specific two types. First, the common one is: generally speaking, liberation is due to the three causes of ignorance, and the aggregation of four conditions, causing the twelve links of dependent origination to arise according to the law, thereby continuously transmitting without interruption, not dwelling in the Dharma of Samsara, namely the five aggregates, five elements, five afflictions, five senses, these twenty kinds of manifestations, and being liberated from their bondage, transcending the end of suffering, abiding in the great bliss of non-discrimination, liberated from the meaning of the four extremes, this is the essence of common liberation. Second, the specific explanation is divided into three types: liberation from the body means: initially, when sentient beings are deluded, the appearance of the five lights serves as the basis of delusion for the external container world, therefore earth, water, fire, wind, and space exist in those colors, and as the basis of delusion for the body with substance, therefore flesh, blood, warmth, breath, etc., also exist in various forms, so liberated from the clinging bonds of each element, now from the fleshy substantial, dream habit, Bardo delusive appearance, hellish experiential suffering, form realm luminosity, formless emptiness samadhi, the six or five phenomenal bodies, these obscurations of the Buddha's body, the habits of appearance naturally subside, dissolve into the source mother, becoming the self-radiance of wisdom, the blueprint of the self-manifested complete enjoyment body, the wisdom and qualities of self-luminous nature, the five bodies, etc., the wheel of constant continuity naturally manifests and is realized. Second, liberation from the object means: the Dharmadhatu emptiness and the appearance of light, usually on the self-nature of non-dual appearance and emptiness, due to delusion, it is considered to be unconscious matter, therefore clinging to the object, clinging to things as real and phenomenal, liberated from this, thereby transcending the non-duality of awareness and emptiness, the appearance of duality of grasper and grasped, in the Dharmakaya spontaneously accomplished jewel store, attaining the original position of awareness. Third, the essence of liberation from the mind is: the wisdom of awareness, like compassion, arises as a gate, due to uninterrupted knowing, it is deluded, becoming various forms of mind and mental factors.

Due to ignorance attaching various fabrications, one is liberated from the obscurations of the wisdom light of the Dharmakaya, the all-knowing. In the realm of reality, the non-conceptual, self-luminous, and free from elaboration wisdom manifests, and this is the wisdom swirling in the sky. Furthermore, the five Kayas liberated from the five skandhas, the five Mothers liberated from the five elements, the wisdom liberated from the five afflictions and the eight consciousnesses, the heroes and heroines liberated from the five faculties, and so on, are all manifestations of the power of liberation. Also, not understanding that the three doors (body, speech, and mind) abide in the three Kayas, and thus being liberated from the bondage of samsara and realizing them, this is also the nature of the three liberations. As it is said in the *Rtsal rdzogs*: "The Buddha is obscured by the Buddha himself, the wisdom of the three clear eyes is in its own place." And in the *Thal 'gyur*: "Furthermore, the order of the fruits is: the Dharmakaya is obtained by the karma of the mind, the Sambhogakaya is obtained by speech, and the Nirmanakaya is obtained by the body." And in the *Rang shar*: "Likewise, the appearance of wisdom itself is obscured by habits and delusions. When delusion ceases, pure appearance arises. In the great pure appearance, there is no nature of grasping." The name and definition are: the path is completed, abandoned like a raft, the fruit is manifested, and one has completely transcended the Dharma of effort. One is liberated from the three illusions of object, body, and mind, or the three of body, speech, and mind, and therefore one obtains the name and definition of "liberation." The fourth is the classification: as explained in the section on nature. The fifth is the similar example: just as something that is bound is liberated, because one is liberated from the iron chains of karma and afflictions that bind one to samsara; and just as the sun and moon are liberated from the clouds, because the habits of the three Kayas of permanence, bliss, self, and purity obscure the face of the Sugatagarbha, therefore it is self-liberated, so it is called liberation. For example, just as a snake's knot does not need to be untied by someone else, but unties itself, the effortless and natural abiding method of this path shows liberation. These are also from the *Great Meaningful Light Tantra Free from Elaboration*: "Secret Lord, be sure to remember! The individual nature, definition, and classification, name, and similar examples have been shown. Do not abide in the Dharma of samsara, but abide in the meaning of Nirvana, liberate everything."
