Especially in the innermost secret mantra, dwell well and supremely, if you do not meditate, it will decline and become distracted. Therefore, for the sake of determining profit and loss, is it better to contemplate and abandon it? Examine well, fortunate ones! Then the student says: KYE! As you have given the command, I will not transgress the word of honor. Please grant me the great means to have power over life and accomplish all activities. Then the Lama says: Oh, then I will bestow the supreme empowerment. Can you drink this samaya water? If you can, then practice the activities, or else rise as the butcher of life! The student says: I can keep the samaya, I will not forget the Lama every day, in practicing the fierce guardians, there is no doubt, please be mindful! The Lama says: A SVA BHA... MAHA SHUNYATA, etc., generate the samaya beings, invite the wisdom beings and merge them. KYE! Great Yaksha, pay attention to me! A profound oath must be made, otherwise, one's own work will be tiring, and one will even be reluctant to give up one's life. Therefore, powerful one, please listen with compassion. Thus they spoke. Then the Lama said: Alas! Disciples and gods, please listen. I have accomplished the supreme secret of Vajra. You two must not deceive me. If you deceive and scorn me, you will be punished by the severe oath-water. Therefore, drink this together. Even though gods and demons speak the same words, yogis manifest many differences. Therefore, examine carefully even today. Even if the holy Dharma protectors allow it, I would be reluctant to give the messenger's life-essence to a libertine. Therefore, drink the oath-water! It is better to turn back even now. Thus he spoke. By all means, drink the oath-water. If you deceive, may there be punishment! If you protect the vows but do not accomplish the activities, may you also be witnesses. Thus he spoke. Then, placing the oath-water on his tongue, he said: Alas! Guardians who guide people, and who are diligent in vows and Dharma practice, earnestly urge this oath-water. If you protect, may there be mutual benefit! If you do not protect, may your hearts be burned and your lifespan shortened. May the Three Jewels accomplish this with truth! Then, visualize taking oaths with each other. Sa ma ya na ra kaṃ ṭhā ṭhā. Thus he cut. Then, entrusting the life-essence: Hūṃ. From now on, you, my son, must not create precedents that harm the Dharma. If you do so, entrust your life-essence to this arrogant one, let him devour it, do not be negligent. Otherwise, if you protect the Dharma, may you think of it with compassion and gain freedom!
