The wisdom of profound luminosity is the side where all the minds and mental events of samsara cease, thus distinguishing between mind and wisdom. The essence is identified as the side of the mind-essence that is free from all elaborations and spontaneously enjoys the complete qualities. The result is said to be the side where wisdom arises in the expanse. The activity is the side where limitless emanations arise from the land of complete qualities, the southern gate, from the play of great compassion. Thus it is said. The fruition of these three bodies is complete on the ground, with great emptiness and compassionate illusion. By taking the generation stage of gradual elaboration from the causal samadhi as the path, the completion stage is transformed into the ripening cause of light, purifying the impure signs of birth, death, and bardo.
