It was hindered. Sarva (藏文,梵文天城体:सर्व,梵文罗马拟音:sarva, literal Chinese meaning: all) is everything that arises from such actions. Preta (藏文,梵文天城体:प्रेत,梵文罗马拟音:preta, literal Chinese meaning: hungry ghost) is the essence of a hungry ghost, meaning the ripening of the karmic stream. Bhya (藏文,梵文天城体:भ्य,梵文罗马拟音:bhya, literal Chinese meaning: fear from...) means to purify actions and suffering. Svāhā (藏文,梵文天城体:स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:svāhā,literal Chinese meaning: well said) is may actions and suffering, hunger and thirst be purified. "Now go quickly and relieve it in that way," he said. Then the two went quickly, and when they did so, the hungry ghost was delighted, enjoyed the food, and its body regained its strength. Then, when it was time for the Dharma talk, the two took turns. Shariputra ate his meal and gave one portion to the hungry ghost, and when he gave it water, it cried out as before and ran away. Again, the two believed and went to report to the Blessed One. "Blessed One, we did as you said, and although it was possible to relieve it, we were afraid of missing the Dharma talk, so we went to look for it, and it cried out as before and ran away, so we came to report to you again." The Blessed One said, "That is because you are taking the tsampa with your hands between your fingers. First wash your hands and then give it. You don't need to go to it, this alone will suffice." The two washed their hands and gave water, and the hungry ghost came immediately and became slightly radiant. Then the Blessed One spoke again, "Such water offerings should not only be done here, but should always be made as a vow and released, and should also be widely spread to others. Why is that? Because the benefits of this are immeasurable and beyond limit. To put it briefly, it is like this: compared to giving to the rich people of the world, giving to some poor people is not even close to a hundredth part of the merit. Why is that? Because the rich are arrogant and proud, and because of pride and wealth, they are happy to fall into evil destinies. Compared to giving to the poor people of the world, giving to some hungry ghosts is not even close to a hundredth part of the merit. Why is that? Because the poor can strive, seek, and beg. Hungry ghosts are not like that by karma, and if it is not dedicated, even if food reaches their mouth, it will turn into a great poison. Compared to giving to the hungry ghosts of the world, giving a little water to one obstacle-causing hungry ghost,

Then, even a hundredth part of that merit is not comparable. What is the reason for that? Because those hungry ghosts are satisfied by contemplation, satisfied by arrangement, satisfied by dedication, satisfied by touch, satisfied by rejoicing, and also satisfied by washing, according to the order of karma. Blocking is that mantras, mudras, and visualizations cannot be obtained by others' blocking actions. By clinging to all objects and blocking them, other objects cannot be enjoyed. By not blocking others' single water, there is no control over water that has not been touched by clean tsampa. Mantras and mudras that pacify one's own continuum cannot be obtained by anything other than a single bell and vajra. Why should the bell and vajra be regarded as one? If it becomes two, it will become the sound of others and cannot be obtained. Therefore, generating one's own understanding is determined as one sound. This will not be hindered by obstacles, diseases will be reduced, life will be prolonged, wealth will be possessed, and confused esophagi will be opened, and dim radiance will be brightened. If this is spread to others, after the continuum is liberated, the continuum of hungry ghosts will be cut off, and ultimately perfect enlightenment will be attained. Having spoken thus, those sons of lineage praised the words spoken by the Bhagavan. The dharani called "Blocking" is completed. Translated and finalized by the reviser translator Bande Yeshe De. The Dharani called "Blocking."
