Compared to offering clothes and excellent food to the Buddhas filling all directions for countless eons, any other son or daughter of good family who upholds even a single word of this dharani will generate even more merit. Why is that? Shariputra, this empowerment dharani is the mother of the Buddhas. After the Bhagavan spoke thus, those monks and those bodhisattvas, as well as the world with gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas, rejoiced and praised what the Bhagavan had said.
