Mount Sumeru might collapse, the wind might be bound by ropes, the moon and sun might fall to the earth, the sky might be pressed down by two hands, fire might turn into water, the four great elements might change, and the minds of all sentient beings might become one. However, what has been spoken and blessed by the Tathagata cannot change; no one can move or shake it. The evil demon will not find an opportunity in this. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Avalokiteshvara, paying homage to the Bhagavan, said this: "Bhagavan, I will also explain the ritual of this dharani. In front of the stupa containing the relics of the Dharma King, or the image of the Buddha, make a mandala of white sandalwood, scatter flowers, and fumigate with sandalwood incense. From the first day of the lunar month until the fifteenth, bathe three times a day and change clothes three times. Offer food and burnt offerings, observe fasting, and with equanimity towards all beings, fast for one day on the full moon day. Lie on a grass mat or on the ground covered with a grass mat, and recite with one-pointed mind, offering fragrant flowers a hundred thousand times, and you will be moved. You will also see the Bhagavan Tathagata Amitabha and Avalokiteshvara. As soon as you hear this great dharani, you will obtain what you desire. You will also be able to hear and remember it. All karmic obscurations will also be purified." After the Bhagavan spoke thus, those monks and bodhisattvas, and all the complete retinue, the gods, humans, asuras, gandharvas, and other beings of the world rejoiced and praised the words of the Bhagavan.
