In Tibetan: འཕགས་པ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་སྙིང་པོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་གཟུངས་ཀྱི་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་གྲངས། (The Dharma Discourse of the Dhāraṇī Called "The Essence of the Buddha"). Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus have I heard: At one time, the Blessed One was in the realm of the Tathāgata, in the Dharma-joy hermitage, in a jeweled and adorned cloister, a place of wisdom's discernment, blessed by the Buddhas of the past, praised by all sentient beings, the abode of great Bodhisattvas, endowed with all kinds of excellence, practicing in accordance with the equality of all dharmas, in the midst of a palace of all-encompassing light, where countless billions of Bodhisattvas were all prophesied, all gathered from different realms, all sons of the Tathāgata, the King of Dharma, all surrounded and gazed upon by those who had attained various dhāraṇīs and samādhis, abiding together and teaching the Dharma. Then, the Blessed One spoke to the great assembly of Bodhisattvas: "Sons of good family, for the benefit of many people, for the happiness of many people, for the compassion of the world, for the sake of the meaning, benefit, and happiness of the great assembly of gods and humans, the Tathāgata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, has spoken of the Dharma Discourse of the Dhāraṇī Called 'The Essence of the Buddha,' as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River. Sons or daughters of good family, whoever holds, remembers, reads, or masters this Dharma Discourse of the Dhāraṇī Called 'The Essence of the Buddha,' or extensively teaches it to others, or believes and understands it with faith and superior intention, will not turn back from Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi, will not be separated from all dharmas, will not be separated from all the Blessed Buddhas, will see the Tathāgata, and will attend to and honor him."

Will not be separated from giving. Will not be separated from listening to the Dharma. Will not be separated from serving the Sangha. Will overturn the ocean of existence that revolves for a thousand kalpas. Until attaining the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment and becoming a Buddha, one will be able to remember past lives. Will quickly attain the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment and become a Buddha. All gatherings of beings will be protected. Gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, and non-humans will all rejoice. Diseases will not be able to invade his body. Will not die from the harm of others. Will not die from punishment, weapons, or poison. Evil demons will not be able to find his weakness. The gods of the demon hordes will not be able to find an opportunity. Wherever he remembers, all those gods of the demon hordes will be terrified and tremble, fleeing in all ten directions. These are the words of the Buddha. They are the great words of the Buddha.
