To this, it should be said: If these dharanis are held, then the sixty crore sages who dwell in the ten directions will pay attention to this person. In all lifetimes, one will meet virtuous friends. Whatever small virtue there may be, all wishes will be fulfilled. One will be able to directly see the Buddhas who dwell in the heart of the lotus. The one who holds these dharanis will be born as a wise and glorious person. Memory, intelligence, understanding, as well as faith and wisdom will greatly increase. All that is heard will be remembered, all that is heard will be remembered and not forgotten. Whoever recites the names of these protectors of the world will abandon all evil destinies and quickly go to good destinies. The best of samadhi and dharani will appear in that person. He will attain supreme enlightenment. Filling billions of buddha-fields with gold and giving it away, the accumulation of merit of one who holds the names of the Tathagatas is even greater. Whoever holds these names, Weapons on his body, Poison, fire, and kings, And the wicked will not harm him. Whoever holds these names, At any time in his mind, With armies and vehicles fully equipped, Demons will not find an opportunity. The meaning of these names, Whoever holds and recites them, In countless billions of Buddha-fields, He will also fly in the sky. Offering to all the Buddha's teachings, Fearlessly making this request, Knowing his thoughts, Those Tathagatas will give predictions. Having reached the other shore, fearlessness and powers, names and excellent marks, all will be completely perfected. Whether male or female, whoever holds these names, this merit and other merits, the Buddha constantly speaks of throughout the kalpas. Having become endowed with mindfulness, having heard this perfect merit, the perfect Buddhas with fame, they will hold these names. These Buddhas, auspicious essence, cloud king, supreme among humans, protectors of the world, these names, whether heard in a kalpa, whoever listens to these names, having heard them, those who are respectful, he and they are of great wisdom, becoming the supreme among the two-legged. Those great sages, having heard such names, being endowed with mindfulness and being virtuous, who would not hold one who is endowed with wisdom?
