At one time, the Blessed One, in the great city of the solitary place, was praised by many, such as gods, nāgas, yakṣas, rākṣasas, gandharvas, asuras, garuḍas, kinnaras, mahoragas, māras, the sun, the moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Rāhu, Saturn, Rāhu, Ketu, and the twenty-eight constellations, and was blessed by the great vajra vow, and resided on the vajra throne. Pa. The Dharma of complete purification was taught. Then, Vajrapani looked at those retinues, stood up and blessed them with his own miraculous power. He circumambulated the Blessed One hundreds and thousands of times, prostrated, and sat down in front of him. With pride, he sat in a well-formed lotus posture, looked arrogantly at those retinues, placed the vajra palms at his heart, and said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, the inauspicious planets, Having inauspicious forms, having strength, having a mind of strength, wrathful ones, having wrathful forms, harming all sentient beings, causing harm, also stealing radiance, some stealing wealth and food, some stealing life, some long-lived beings making them short-lived. Like this, for the sake of those who harm and injure all sentient beings, Blessed One, please explain what kind of Dharma can protect all sentient beings." The Blessed One said: "Good, good! Because you have generated compassion, it is good that you ask the Tathagata for a secret that is even more secret than the great secret, in order to benefit all sentient beings. Therefore, listen carefully and keep it in mind. I will explain the offerings and, offering items and, good recitations of the planets with inauspicious forms, those who are extremely wrathful and extremely terrifying, a secret that is even more secret than the secret. Those who are offered with offerings, and if they cause harm, they become the causers of harm, all the colors of those planets and, how they change and, the gods and the Asuras, the Kimnaras and the Nagas, the Yakshas and the Rakshasas, humans and non-humans, with great power and great glory, and the secret mantras and offerings of the one who pacifies anger, will be explained in order.
