Ānanda, these bases of the secret mantra of the Great Dharani were spoken by ninety-nine koṭis of perfectly complete Buddhas. I also now explain and rejoice. Ānanda, any son of good family or daughter of good family who holds, grasps, reads, remembers, and fully understands these bases of the secret mantra of the Great Dharani will remember their past lives for twenty-one lifetimes. Ānanda, any son of good family or daughter of good family who protects a dry tree with these bases of the secret mantra of the Great Dharani, or completely protects, or completely grasps, or completely cherishes, or pacifies, or becomes happy and auspicious, or avoids cutting off, or avoids weapons, or destroys poison, or kills poison, or cuts off boundaries, or binds the sky, or binds the earth. If it is bound with thread, its roots will also grow. Branches, leaves, shoots, flowers, and fruits will also grow, what need is there to mention a body with consciousness? Ānanda, except for the maturation of previous karma. Ānanda, these two, the sun and moon, which are known to have such great miraculous power, great strength, and great authority, may even fall to the earth. Ānanda, the king of mountains, Mount Sumeru, may even move from its place. Ānanda, these four great oceans, which are so deep, so vast, and have such great miraculous power and strength,

Even drying up, being completely exhausted, and ultimately disappearing are possible. Kungawo, this great earth might even split into pieces. Water might even abandon its wetness. Fire might even abandon its heat. Wind might even abandon its coldness, but these bases of the great dharani's secret mantra are impossible to deceive. Kungawo, whether it be a god, a naga, an asura, a garuda, a wind god, a gandharva, a human or non-human, a great belly-walker, a yaksha, a rakshasa, a preta, a flesh-eater, a kumbhanda, a putrid one, a body-putrid one, a bhuta, a brahmin, a rakshasa, a Rahu, or any human or non-human, or anyone else, if they act contrary to these bases of the great dharani's secret mantra, then recite: Tadyatha. Agile. Tsagile. Balle. Malle. Ohani. Mohani. Jambhani. Stambhani. Protect me and all sentient beings, protect me and all sentient beings Svaha. The great king Dhrtarastra also has a burning iron wheel, extremely burning, completely extremely spreading and burning, transformed into a single flame, which smashes his head into seven pieces. The great king Virudhaka, Virupaksha, and the son of Vaisravana also have a burning iron wheel, extremely burning, completely extremely spreading and burning, transformed into a single flame, which smashes his head into seven pieces.
