Lalo! May these bases of secret mantras be accomplished by the blessings of the Buddhas! Then, it is said like this: If these dharanis are held, all the hermits residing in the ten directions, sixty kotis, they will pay attention to that person. In all lifetimes, one will meet virtuous friends. Whatever small virtue there is, all things will be accomplished. The Buddhas who reside in the heart of the lotus will be seen directly. The one who holds these dharanis will be born as a wise and glorious person. Memory, intelligence, understanding, faith, and wisdom will greatly increase. All that is heard will be remembered. All that is heard will be remembered without forgetting. Whoever recites the names of these protectors of the world, will abandon all the bad destinies and quickly go to the good destinies. The best of samadhi and dharani will manifest in that person. He will quickly attain enlightenment. Giving away millions of billions of fields filled with gold, the accumulation of merit of one who holds the names of the Tathagatas is much greater. One will always remember past lives. When practicing the conduct of enlightenment, completely abandoning all unfavorable conditions, one will meet the extremely beautiful appearance of the Buddhas, pleasing the perfect Buddhas. One will obtain unsurpassed faith. Having great faith in the Buddhas, one will make excellent offerings. Making the appearance of the Buddhas pleasing, having seen them, one will have great faith in the teacher. Having seen the lamp of the world, one will make good offerings. The one who holds these names, after completely abandoning samsara in countless billions of kalpas, will also quickly attain enlightenment. If one holds these names completely in seven days, the vast eyes that can see the guides will be purified. Whoever holds the names of these protectors of the world, wherever he is born, will be worthy of being revered. The perfections and, fearlessness and powers, and the names and excellent marks, all will be completely perfected. Those Buddhas, whichever field they desire, there, unsurpassed, perfectly complete, having realized Bodhi, they will attain enlightenment. Whether male or female, whoever holds these names, these qualities and others as well, the Buddhas will constantly speak of throughout the kalpas. Having become endowed with mindfulness, having heard this perfect quality, the renowned perfect Buddhas, they will hold the names. These Buddhas, Glorious Essence, King of Clouds, Supreme among Humans, these protectors of the world, whoever hears their names throughout the kalpas, and whoever listens to these names, and having heard, acts with reverence, he and they will have great wisdom, and will become supreme among bipeds. Having heard such names of those great sages, being mindful and virtuous, and wise, who would not hold onto them, being endowed with wisdom? After the Bhagavan spoke thus, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Maitreya and, those Bodhisattvas and, those monks and, that assembly endowed with all, and the world with gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas, rejoiced and praised what the Bhagavan had spoken. The Noble Great Vehicle Sutra "The Twelve Buddhas" is complete.
