The king, the queen, the army, and the daughter went to where the Blessed One was, prostrated to the Buddha, and sat down on one side. Then King Gsalgyal knelt down on his right knee and said to the Blessed One, 'What merit did this daughter perform in the past that she was born into a family of great and high lineage, with many possessions and wealth? And what sinful deeds did she do that her appearance is so ugly and her skin and hair are like those of animals?' The Blessed One replied, 'Great King, the princess's beauty and ugliness are due to the merit and sinful deeds she committed in her previous lives.' In the distant past, in a place called Varanasi, there lived a very wealthy householder with immeasurable wealth. That householder offered and gave everything he owned in his house to a Pratyekabuddha. That Pratyekabuddha's body was very rough, ugly, emaciated. The householder had a young daughter, and one day, when she saw that Pratyekabuddha passing by, she conceived an impure thought and scornfully said, 'How ugly is this one with an ugly face and rough skin!' That Pratyekabuddha always went to her house to receive offerings, and after a long time, he thought to pass into Nirvana. For the sake of that patron, he rose into the sky, his body blazing with fire and water flowing from it, disappearing from the east and appearing in the west, disappearing from the west and appearing in the east, disappearing from the south and appearing in the north, disappearing from the north and appearing in the south, lying down and sitting in the empty sky, and so on, displaying various kinds of miracles, so that all the people of that house saw those miracles.

从空中降下，前往她的家中。那家主人也格外高兴欢喜。那个女儿也生起了深深的后悔，对那位独觉佛说道：我以前所犯下的过错，一次又一次地犯下，为了不让那些过错真正变成罪恶，我请求忏悔。那位独觉佛也允许她忏悔。世尊开示说：大国王，在那个时代，那个女儿就是现在的这位公主。当时她以不善的心，以诽谤圣者独觉佛的语言罪过，从那以后一直遭受丑陋的身体。后来见到神变，因为后悔，后来容貌变得非常美丽，并且具有智慧。因为供养独觉佛，无论生于何处，都出身高贵，财富丰饶，最终也获得了解脱。因此，大国王，所有属于有情众生的种类，都应极其守护身语的罪过，不要轻蔑和诽谤他人。当时，光明王及其眷属，以及所有众多眷属，听闻了世尊所开示的成熟果报，生起了极其清净的信心。像这样，因为极其清净的意念，有些人获得了从初果到四果的果位。有些人发起了无上菩提心。有些人安住于不退转地。所有那些眷属都随喜赞叹世尊所说的话语，感到非常高兴。光明王之女金刚品第七（终）。 第七，光明王之女金刚品。

That daughter also felt deep regret and said to that Pratyekabuddha: "I have repeatedly committed faults in the past. In order not to let those faults truly become sins, I ask for repentance." That Pratyekabuddha also allowed her to repent. The Blessed One said: "Great King, at that time, that daughter is now this princess. At that time, with an unwholesome mind, due to the verbal offense of slandering the noble Pratyekabuddha, she has since then always experienced an ugly body. Later, after seeing the miracles, because of regret, her appearance later became very beautiful and she became intelligent. Because of making offerings to the Pratyekabuddha, wherever she was born, she was of noble birth and had abundant wealth, and in the end, she also attained liberation. Therefore, Great King, all those who belong to the category of sentient beings should greatly protect the faults of body and speech, and should not despise or slander others." At that time, King Light and his retinue, and all the many retinues, after hearing the ripened results taught by the Blessed One, developed faith with an extremely pure mind. In this way, because of an extremely pure mind, some attained the fruits from the first fruit to the fourth fruit. Some generated the mind of unsurpassed Bodhi.
