Thus I have heard, at one time, the Blessed One was dwelling in Rajagriha on Vulture Peak Mountain, surrounded and attended by a great Sangha of monks, with twelve hundred and fifty monks. He was dwelling in a certain manner and teaching the Dharma, which is good in the beginning, good in the middle, and good in the end. The meaning is good, the words are good, it is not mixed up, it is completely perfect, completely pure, completely cleansed, and he thoroughly teaches the pure conduct. Then, at that time, the layperson Joyful One, along with a retinue of five hundred laypersons, came from the great city of Rajagriha. 会与怨恨相连，很多人会变得不信任，会做恶梦，自己也会感到恐惧，众生也会因此感到恐惧，即使安睡也会痛苦地醒来，会思虑罪恶，在愚痴中死亡，会造作和积累短命的业，身体坏灭死后也会堕入恶道恶趣，生于有情地狱中。如果从那里死亡，转生到这里与人们有共同的命运，那么无论他生于何处，都会变得短命且多病。喜悦者，要知道这就是杀生的十种过患。喜悦者，要知道不予而取的十种过患是这些，哪十种呢？会变得非常怨恨，会变得非常羞愧，会不合时宜地出行，会在贫困潦倒时出行，会被罪恶的朋友完全控制，会被善知识完全抛弃，会破戒，会被国王伤害，会被盗贼伤害，会被惩罚砍伐伤害，会因缺乏享受而造作和积累业，身体坏灭死后会堕入恶道恶趣，生于有情地狱中。如果从那里死亡，转生到这里与人们有共同的命运，那么无论他生于何处，都会变得贫穷。他所拥有的财富，都是通过辛勤的努力，汗流浃背，污垢累积，用手脚的力量获得的，却会被五种损害所损害，哪五种呢？国王，火，水，不友善的分配使用者，以及隐藏者会浪费它。喜悦者，要知道不予而取的十种过患就是这些。喜悦者，要知道欲邪淫的十种过患是这些，哪十种呢？ 引诱了谁的妻子，那个人就会与他结怨

Will be connected with resentment, many people will become distrustful, will have nightmares, oneself will also feel fear, and sentient beings will also feel fear because of it, even if sleeping peacefully, one will wake up in pain, will contemplate evil, will die in ignorance, will create and accumulate the karma of short life, and after the body is destroyed and dies, one will also fall into evil paths and evil destinies, and be born in sentient hells. If one dies from there and is reborn here with a common destiny with people, then wherever he is born, he will become short-lived and prone to illness. Joyful one, know that these are the ten faults of killing. Joyful one, know that the ten faults of taking what is not given are these, what are the ten? One will become very resentful, one will become very ashamed, one will go out at inappropriate times, one will go out in times of poverty, one will be completely controlled by evil friends, one will be completely abandoned by virtuous friends, one will break precepts, one will be harmed by the king, one will be harmed by thieves, one will be harmed by punishment and cutting, and one will create and accumulate karma due to lack of enjoyment, and after the body is destroyed and dies, one will fall into evil paths and evil destinies, and be born in sentient hells. If he dies and transmigrates from there, and is born here equal to humans, even if he becomes a woman, he will find a husband full of rivals. If he becomes a man, his sons and wife will not be protected. Joyful one, the ten faults of sexual misconduct due to desire, know that these are them. Joyful one, the ten faults of false speech, know that these are them. What are these ten? His mouth will smell of pus, the gods who protect his body will leave, non-humans will find an opportunity, even if he speaks the truth, his words will not be believed, even if there is a need, the wise will not consider consulting him, untrue bad reputations will spread widely, he will become unsuitable for rebuttal, he will be miserable and unhappy, he will speak many bad words, having done and accumulated such karma, his body disintegrates and after death he falls into evil destinies and bad migrations, being born in the hells of sentient beings. If he dies and transmigrates from there, and is born here equal to humans, then wherever he is born, there will be many bad words.
