When the World-Honored One was present, the great king Vaiśravaṇa's son said this: "World-Honored One, out of compassion for those who preach the Dharma, I will recite the words of the dhāraṇī mantra for the sake of healing, comfort, protection, rescue, and concealment. Tadyathā. Aṭa. Naṭṭe. Tanaṭṭe. Anāte nāti. Kunaṭi svāhā. World-Honored One, I will protect those who preach the Dharma with these dhāraṇī mantras up to a hundred yojanas. Then, the great king Bhadraka, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of millions of gandharvas and leading in front, gathered in that assembly. He rose from his seat, bared one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with palms joined, bowed towards the World-Honored One and said: "World-Honored One, I will also recite the words of the dhāraṇī mantra for the sake of protecting, rescuing, and concealing those who uphold such a sūtra and preach the Dharma. Tadyathā. Agage gane. Gauri. Gandhāri. Caṇḍāli. Mataṅgi. Pukakasi. Saṃkule. Bruṣalī svāhā. World-Honored One, these words of the dhāraṇī mantra were spoken by forty-two kotis of Buddhas. If anyone opposes those who preach the Dharma, they will all be subdued." 然后,所有那些罗刹女都异口同声地向薄伽梵献上了这些陀罗尼咒语的词句:达地雅他(tadyathā):伊谛美(iti me),伊谛美(iti me),伊谛美(iti me),伊谛美(iti me),伊谛美(iti me),尼美(ni me),尼美(ni me),尼美(ni me),尼美(ni me),鲁嘿(ru he),鲁嘿(ru he),鲁嘿(ru he),鲁嘿(ru he),鲁嘿(ru he),哈斯谛(ha ste),哈斯谛(ha ste),哈斯谛(ha ste),哈斯谛(ha ste),哈斯谛 娑婆诃(ha ste svāhā)。

We will protect, rescue, and conceal those who preach the Dharma in this way. We will make them happy and well. In any case, we will ensure that those who seek faults and opportunities in those who preach the Dharma will not find any faults. Then, all those Rakshasa women, with one voice and in agreement, offered these words of the Dharani mantra to the Bhagavan: Tadyatha: Iti me, iti me, iti me, iti me, iti me, ni me, ni me, ni me, ni me, ni me, ru he, ru he, ru he, ru he, ru he, ha ste, ha ste, ha ste, ha ste, ha ste svāhā. Having placed this on their heads, may no one cause harm to those who preach the Dharma! Whether it be a Yaksha, or a Rakshasa, or a Preta, or a flesh-eater, or a vampire, or an executioner, or a zombie, or a paralytic, or an oppressor, or a form of forgetfulness, or something done by a Yaksha, or something done by a human, or something done by a non-human, or a one-day fever, or a two-day fever, or a three-day fever, or a four-day fever, or a constant fever, even in a dream, in the form of a woman, or the form of a man, or the form of a boy, or the form of a girl, to create obstacles, that is not possible. Then, those Rakshasa women, with one voice and in agreement, spoke these verses to the Bhagavan: Whoever, having heard this secret mantra, opposes the preacher of the Dharma, may his head be split into seven pieces, like the branches of the Arjaka tree. Whoever opposes the preacher of the Dharma, whether it be one who has killed his mother, or one who has killed his father, may he go to that state. Whoever opposes the preacher of the Dharma, whether it be one who presses sesame seeds, or one who pounds sesame seeds, may he go to that state. Whoever opposes the preacher of the Dharma, whether it be one who cheats with scales, or one who alters measures, may he go to that state. Having spoken thus, those Rakshasa women, holding spears and so forth, said to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, we too will protect those who preach the Dharma in this way. We will make them happy and well, avoid destruction, and eliminate poison. Having spoken thus, the Bhagavan said to those Rakshasa women: Rakshasa women, well done! Well done!
