Was it the departed one who spoke with speech that included distinctions? The Blessed One declared: O Ganges' Supreme, this question is without distinctions, but there are sons or daughters of good families gathered in this assembly, and it is asked because it will become of great significance for them. Why is that? O Ganges' Supreme, if the Tathagata has not fully awakened to perfect enlightenment, which is called Dharmata (ཆོས་ཉིད་,Dharmatā,धर्मता,dharmatā,法性), how can the Dharma arising from that fully abide in complete Nirvana? They said: If the Blessed One has not fully awakened to perfect enlightenment, which is called Dharmata (ཆོས་ཉིད་,Dharmatā,धर्मता,dharmatā,法性), then what Dharma arising from that exists? How did the Blessed One truly accomplish the roots of virtue for the sake of enlightenment? The Blessed One declared: O Ganges' Supreme, whatever is distinguished is not a root of virtue, but the Bodhisattva's root of virtue is that whenever it is truly accomplished, at that time, the very nature of inconceivability is not abandoned. Whenever it is not truly accomplished, at that time, the very nature of inconceivability is not abandoned. They said: O Blessed One, why is the inconceivable called inconceivable? The Blessed One declared: O Ganges' Supreme, this Dharma is not to be attained by mind, nor can it be attained by mind. Why is that? Thus, if even the mind itself is not perceived in this, then how can there be Dharma arising from the mind? O Ganges' Supreme, the non-perception of mind is called the continuum of inconceivability. Whatever is the continuum of inconceivability is not attainment, not realization, not knowledge, not manifestation, it is not to be attained, not completely defiled, not completely purified. Why is that? O Ganges' Supreme, thus, the Tathagata has surely understood all Dharmas as being like the sky. O Ganges' Supreme, all Dharmas are like the sky, without antidote. They said: O Blessed One, if all Dharmas are like the sky, without antidote, then what are the forms, feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness that the Blessed One has designated?

How are designations established, such as earth, as well as the aggregates, elements, sense sources, dependent origination, with outflows, without outflows, completely defiled, completely purified, cyclic existence, and nirvana? The Blessed One said: Like the Ganges, for example, one designates "I, I," but no I is found. Similarly, Ganges, I designate as form, but no form is found. Likewise, I designate as feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, but no consciousness is found. The aggregates, elements, sense sources, dependent origination, with outflows, without outflows, completely defiled, completely purified, cyclic existence, and nirvana, I also designate, but no nirvana is found. Ganges, for example, with regard to the causes of maturation, whether water exists or not is not found. Ganges, similarly, I designate as form, but no form is found. I designate as feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, but no consciousness is found. The aggregates, elements, sense sources, dependent origination, with outflows, without outflows, completely defiled, completely purified, cyclic existence, and nirvana, I also designate, but in ultimate reality, all of them are nonexistent and not found. Ganges, those who practice the pure conduct without clinging to the Dharma, such practice is abiding in the pure conduct in the well-spoken Dharma and Vinaya. Ganges, those who, with manifest pride, cling to a place and practice the pure conduct, I say that their pure conduct is impure. Those whose pure conduct is impure, when they hear such a profound and cutting-off Dharma, they will be terrified. They are completely free from birth, aging, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, displeasure, and turmoil...

They will not be liberated, and I say that those will become recipients of suffering. O Ganges' Best, whether now or after my passing, those who do not become deluded by those who teach such profound teachings of severance, but instead generate the perception of being killers, those who are not deluded will, through wrong views, generate hatred for being killed and will go to lower realms. Ganges' Best asked: Blessed One, why is it called "severance, severance"? Why is it called severance? The Blessed One replied: O Ganges' Best, this Dharma is not a cutting off, a division, or an analysis. Therefore, it is called "severance." This is called the true limit, the inconceivable lineage. Then the Blessed One smiled at that time. Then, from the gate of the Blessed One's mouth, rays of various colors, many colors, such as blue, yellow, red, white, onion-colored, crystal, and silver, arose, and those rays illuminated the infinite and boundless realms of the world, pervading them with light, appearing up to the realm of Brahma, and then returning and disappearing into the gate of the Blessed One's mouth. Then, the Venerable Ananda arranged his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and with his palms joined, bowed towards the Blessed One and said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, the Tathagatas do not smile without a reason. What is the cause and condition for smiling? The Blessed One said: Ananda, I know through clairvoyance that in this very place, a thousand Tathagatas, beginning with nothing but laywomen called "Ganges' Best," have taught this Dharma category. All those laywomen will ordain and completely pass into nirvana in the realm of nirvana without aggregates. Then, the Venerable Ananda said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, what is the name of this Dharma category? How should it be held? The Blessed One replied: Ananda,
