Chapter Seventeen: The Chapter on Expressing Non-Duality Chapter Seventeen: The Chapter on Expressing Non-Duality Then, the Bodhisattva Peaceful Wisdom spoke thus to the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani: "Lord of Secrets, you have been prophesied by the Tathagata." He said: "Son of good family, I was prophesied by the teaching that is like the nature of a dream." He said: "For what purpose were you prophesied?" He said: "Son of good family, the prophecy of having nothing to obtain is what is obtained." He said: "What is it that is not obtained?" He said: "Sentient beings, life, individuals, creatures, and persons are not obtained. The aggregates, elements, and sense bases are not obtained. Virtue and non-virtue, that which is blameworthy and that which is not blameworthy, that which is with outflows and that which is without outflows, that which is worldly and that which is beyond the world, that which is conditioned and that which is unconditioned, that which is completely afflicted and that which is completely purified, between samsara and nirvana, nothing is obtained." He said: "If nothing is obtained, then what is prophesied here?" He said: "The wisdom that follows that which is unapprehendable is prophesied." He said: "What wisdom is prophesied?" He said: "That which is not completely distinguished by two." He said: "If it were completely distinguished by two, then the prophecy would not be obtained, because the wisdom is not completely distinguished by two, therefore the prophecy of non-duality itself is the prophecy of a Bodhisattva." He said: "If wisdom is completely distinguished by non-duality, then who is the one who prophesies? To whom is the prophecy given?" He said: "Whoever is the one who prophesies and to whom the prophecy is given, those have become equality itself. Those abide in the limit of non-duality." He said: "Lord of Secrets, what is there to prophesy in the limit of non-duality?" He said: "Whatever limit there is, that itself is the limit of non-duality, that limit itself is what is prophesied." He said: "Abiding in what is the limit of obtaining the prophecy?" He said: "Abiding in the limit of self, one will obtain the prophecy. Abiding in the limit of sentient beings, life, and individuals, one will be prophesied. The limit of self"

What is the place of that place? He said: My ultimate place is the ultimate place of the Thus-gone One's liberation. He said: What is the place of the Thus-gone One's liberation? He said: The ultimate place of the Thus-gone One's liberation is the ultimate place of ignorance and the craving for existence. He said: What is the place of the ultimate place of ignorance and the craving for existence? He said: It is the ultimate place of the completely unborn and unoriginated. He said: What is the place of the unborn and unoriginated? He said: The end of non-discrimination is the place. He said: What does discrimination cognize? He said: If it cognizes, it will not become non-discrimination. He said: What does not cognize? He said: All discriminations do not cognize. He said: If it does not cognize, how does it know everything? He said: If it knows everything, it is not discrimination; because it does not discriminate, therefore it knows everything. He said: What is it like to know everything? He said: When one does not accept discrimination. He said: How does one not accept discrimination? He said: When one does not follow after words and syllables. He said: How does one not follow after words and syllables? He said: When one relies on meaning. He said: When one does not seek meaning and non-meaning as meaning, what will one seek at that time? He said: When one seeks meaning and non-meaning, at that time one will seek Dharma. He said: If one seeks Dharma, is that not seeking? He said: Son of good family, seeking Dharma is not seeking anything. Why is that? Because whatever one seeks in any way is not Dharma, it cannot become Dharma. He said: What is Dharma? He said: That to which even the sound of Dharma is not attached. He said: That to which even the sound of Dharma is not attached, that
