To the sick, those with covered heads, wearing hats, with turbans, with crossed hair on the top of the head, with crossed hair on the back of the head, one should teach not to speak Dharma. To the sick, those with upright hair, wearing hats, with hair tied in a topknot, with garlands on their heads, with their heads wrapped, one should teach not to speak Dharma. To the sick, those riding elephants, riding horses, sitting in palanquins, sitting on mounts, wearing shoes, one should teach not to speak Dharma. To the sick, those holding staffs in their hands, holding umbrellas in their hands, holding weapons in their hands, holding swords in their hands, holding armaments in their hands, wearing armor, one should teach not to speak Dharma. One should teach the sick not to urinate or defecate standing up. One should teach the sick not to urinate or defecate in the water, or spit, blow their noses, vomit, or discard filth. Unless harm occurs, one should teach not to climb trees higher than a person's height. Noble Mothers, I have finished reciting many teachings to be learned. Thereupon, I will ask the Noble Mothers, "Are you completely pure in this?" I will ask two or three times, "Are you completely pure in this?" If the Noble Mothers are completely pure in this, then they should accept it in this way, without saying anything. Explaining many teachings to be learned.
