具寿查迦将我的羊毛交给鞣制者了。此后，世尊对具寿阿难陀说：阿难陀，比丘们是否将羊毛交给非亲属的比丘尼鞣制？尊者，交给鞣制了。此后，世尊就此事、此缘起、此时机对比丘僧众集会作了如是等等，如前。诸佛世尊明知故犯等等，也如前。佛世尊呵责具寿查迦说：查迦，你是否真的将羊毛交给非亲属的比丘尼鞣制？尊者，是的。佛世尊呵责说：这不是沙门的行径，不随顺，不如法，不合规矩，出家人不应做这样的事。此后，世尊以种种方式呵责后，对比丘们说：比丘们，因此，为了如实看到十种利益，应当为调伏声闻弟子们制定学处等等，如前。我的声闻弟子们应当如此背诵调伏的学处：如果任何比丘将羊毛交给非亲属的比丘尼洗涤，或煮染，或鞣制，犯舍堕罪。 再说，任何比丘，是指查迦或其他任何类似的人。比丘尼，是指此法的持有人。非亲属，是指外祖母、外祖父，以及七代以内的亲属，超过七代就不是亲属了。羊毛，是指绵羊的毛。洗涤，是指哪怕是放入水中浸泡。煮染，是指哪怕是放入染料中染色。鞣制，是指哪怕是交给鞣制者。舍堕罪，是指必须舍弃该物品，并忏悔舍堕罪。因此说，犯舍堕罪。那么，如何构成犯罪呢？比丘对比丘尼非亲属，不是亲属

The venerable Charka gave my wool to the tanner. Then, the Blessed One said to the venerable Ānanda: Ānanda, do monks give wool to non-relative nuns to tan? Venerable sir, they give it to tan. Then, the Blessed One, regarding this event, this origin, this occasion, convened the assembly of monks and acted as before. The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, knowingly commit offenses, etc., also as before. The Buddha, the Blessed One, rebuked the venerable Charka, saying: Charka, is it true that you give wool to non-relative nuns to tan? Venerable sir, it is true. The Buddha, the Blessed One, rebuked him, saying: This is not the conduct of a renunciant, it is not in accordance, it is not proper, it is not in accordance with the rules, it is not something to be done by one who has gone forth. Then, after rebuking him in various ways, the Blessed One said to the monks: Monks, therefore, having truly seen ten benefits, a basis for training should be established for the disciples to be tamed, etc., as before. My disciples should recite the basis for training in taming in this way: Again, any monk who gives wool to a non-relative nun to wash, or to dye, or to tan, commits an offense entailing forfeiture. Again, any monk, means Charka or anyone else like that. Nun means one who holds this Dharma. Non-relative means grandmother, grandfather, and relatives up to the seventh generation of descendants are relatives, but beyond that they are not relatives. Wool means the wool of a sheep. To wash means even to put it in water to soak. To dye means even to put it in dye to color. To tan means even to give it to a tanner. An offense entailing forfeiture means that the object must be forfeited and the offense of forfeiture must be confessed. Therefore, it is said to be an offense entailing forfeiture. Then, how does it become an offense? A monk to a nun who is not a relative, is not a relative.
