所学之法多说。 所学之法多说。 总而言之,下裙有七种,上衣也有三种,非常收敛等有五种,头巾等有五种,跳跃等有五种,身体等有五种,坐姿有九种,给予和接受有八种。具寿者们,这些所学之法,都是从半月半月诵读的别解脱经中产生的。应学穿圆形的下裙。应学下裙不是非常尖,不是非常松垮,不是像象鼻,不是像贝多罗树叶,不是像谷堆,不是像蛇头的冠状物那样穿。应学穿圆形的法衣。应学穿法衣不是非常尖,不是非常松垮。应学习非常收敛,穿戴整齐,声音低沉,不斜视,像牛轭一样看,去其他人家里。应学不蒙头,不遮面,不倾斜,不在脖子上交叉,不在后背上交叉,去其他人家里。应学不跳跃,不伸展,不蹲着,不用胸部,不靠腰,去其他人家里。应学身体不摇晃,手不弯曲,头不 摇晃,肩膀不耸动,手不交叉,去其他人家里。未经告知,应学不去其他人家里坐在垫子上。应学不检查垫子,不用整个身体的重量压,不交叉双脚,不交叉大腿,不在胫骨上放胫骨,不弯曲脚,不张开脚,不露出私处,去其他人家里坐在垫子上。应学好好地取食物。不是一口接一口,不是和菜一样多,有秩序地,看着钵,在准备和吃之前不拿钵,为了再次想要,不用米饭盖菜,菜不盖米饭。

Explaining the many things to be learned. Explaining the many things to be learned. In summary: there are seven types of lower garments, three types of upper garments, five types of being very restrained, five types of head coverings, five types of jumping, five types of body postures, nine types of sitting, and eight types of giving and receiving. Venerable ones, these many things to be learned all come from reciting the Pratimoksha Sutra every half month. One should train to wear a round lower garment. One should train to wear a lower garment that is not too pointed, not too loose, not like an elephant's trunk, not like a tala leaf, not like a grain pile, and not like a snake's hood. One should train to wear a round Dharma garment. One should train to wear a Dharma garment that is not too pointed and not too loose. One should train to be very restrained, to dress properly, to lower one's voice, not to look askance, to look as much as a yoke, and to go to other people's houses. One should train not to cover one's head, not to cover one's face, not to tilt, not to cross at the neck, and not to cross at the back when going to other people's houses. One should train not to jump, not to stretch, not to squat, not to use one's chest, and not to lean on one's waist when going to other people's houses. One should train not to sway one's body, not to bend one's arms, not to turn one's head, not to shrug one's shoulders, and not to cross one's arms when going to other people's houses. Without being told, one should train not to sit on a mat in another person's house. One should train not to inspect the mat, not to press down with the weight of one's whole body, not to cross one's legs, not to cross one's thighs, not to place one's shins on top of one another, not to bend one's legs, not to spread one's legs, and not to expose one's genitals when sitting on a mat in another person's house. One should train to take food properly. Not mouthful after mouthful, not as much as the vegetables, in an orderly manner, looking at the bowl, not taking the bowl before preparing and eating, and not covering the vegetables with rice because one wants more, and not covering the rice with vegetables.

One should teach not to cover (food), and not to hold the alms bowl while preparing and eating (food). In short, there are six things to do well regarding food, five things (not to do) like smacking one's lips, five things (not to do) like distinguishing between grains and beans, and five things (not to do) like licking one's fingers. One should teach to eat food well. Do not eat too small portions, do not eat too large portions, do not gobble, do not open your mouth when there is no food in your mouth, and do not speak with your mouth full of food. One should teach not to smack one's lips, not to make a smacking sound, not to make a "whoosh" sound, not to make a "pooh" sound, and not to eat with one's tongue sticking out. One should teach not to distinguish between grains and beans, not to flick with the fingers, not to move the cheeks, not to snap the teeth, and not to bite the food in half. One should teach not to lick the fingers, not to rub the alms bowl, not to shake the hands, not to shake the alms bowl, and not to eat food as if offering to a stupa.
