D1088 @#. In Indian language: Śrī devī kālī nāma āṣṭa śataka. In Tibetan: The Hundred and Eight Names of Glorious Black Goddess. I prostrate to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Thus have I heard: At one time, the Blessed One was dwelling on Vulture Peak Mountain, revealing the true names to all Bodhisattvas of cause and effect. At that time, the glorious Black Goddess, the great goddess, also went to the Blessed One, circumambulated three times, and sat down on one side in front of the Blessed One. Then, the Bodhisattva Lion's Perseverance asked the Blessed One, saying: Blessed One, what are the kinds of names by which Bodhisattvas, in the form of rakshasis, benefit the world? The Blessed One, considering the Bodhisattva Lion's Perseverance, looked at the glorious Black Goddess and said: Abiding greatly in hearing, thinking, and meditation, Possessing the nature of cause, effect, and condition. Supreme among the skillful who benefit beings, the glorious Black Goddess is supreme. An emanation of a Bodhisattva, like the earth, she is the basis of support. Accumulating qualities like water, ripening enlightenment like fire. Engaging in virtue, moving like the wind, pure wisdom like the sky. You are like the great elements, praised by many beings. Having accumulated merit and wisdom, skilled in actions and their ripening. Accustomed to subduing pride with form, walking on the path of wisdom and compassion. You are like a good vase, like the water of a wish-fulfilling jewel. A wish-fulfilling tree that benefits all, you are clear like the sun. Having a mind clear as the moon, a name like a rabbit's horn. Your lineage is like a wheel, you are as rare as an udumbara flower. Satisfying all like nectar, you are the mistress of all beings. You also show the dharma of no self-nature, like dust in water and sky. You subdue the three realms of those to be tamed, you protect the teachings of the victors of the three times. You are truly one with the holy ones, walking on the path of the holy ones. Goddess, mother goddess, yaksha woman, rakshasi, naga woman, flesh-eating woman, fierce woman, spirit woman.

Skull cup. Manifesting fierce and majestic demeanor. Wind Mother Black Mother, the terrifying one. Wrathful Dakini, liberating beings. Subduing through pacifying, increasing, controlling, and wrathful means. Also displaying white, yellow, green, black, and red. Also arising in the form of eight aspects. Also showing the manner of the six realms of beings. Also capable of expressing the five aggregates. Also showing the five objects that satisfy the senses. Skilled in the conduct of dependent arising. Skilled at killing those with objects. Likewise, killing speech and so forth, diligent in killing those with bodies. The mind is skilled in non-killing. Gone far from samsara. Thus, the Tathagata has prophesied. And the names of the Bodhisattvas. And the glorious mother who protects the world. Loving towards those who uphold the sacred Dharma. The wind will also not make unpleasant sounds. Likewise, even in a place where cows roam, it cannot be carried away by water and waves. Wherever one is born in Jambudvipa, one will not be threatened by various harms. Even in the abode of the gods of desire, one will be born and delight in the Dharma. In the birthplace of the four meditations, the four immeasurables will increase. Even in the four formless realms, one will not be born if there is no meaning, but one will never be born in a state of non-perception. In the places where the noble ones reside, one will practice self-benefit in the manner of the three realms. One will never be attached to objects. One will not hold onto things in the mind, and thus the six root afflictions, as well as the twenty near afflictions, and the five heinous crimes will also be purified. Even in countless eons, one will not be born in the eight unfavorable conditions. One will be able to avert the arguments of non-Buddhists, and one will possess abundant power and strength, long life, freedom from illness, and glory. Even in countless eons without suffering, one will never fall into samsara, in order to attain peaceful nirvana. Surpassing the grounds of the Shravakas, one should also know the twelve links of dependent arising. The grounds of the Bodhisattvas are, radiating great joy, stainless, and light. Difficult to combine, manifest for a long time.
