In the language of India: Ārya Dvādaśa Buddha Kaṃ Nāma Mahāyāna Sūtra. In the Tibetan language: The Noble Great Vehicle Sūtra Called "The Twelve Buddhas." Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Thus I have heard: At one time, the Blessed One was dwelling in Rājagṛha on Vulture Peak Mountain, together with a great Saṅgha of monks consisting of one thousand two hundred and fifty monks. And also with a great Saṅgha of Bodhisattvas consisting of twenty million Bodhisattvas, including Maitreya Bodhisattva. Then, the Blessed One spoke to the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Maitreya, saying: Maitreya, from this Buddha-field to the east, beyond countless Buddha-fields, as many as the dust particles of ten unspeakable, unspeakable trillions of Buddha-fields, there is a world called Pearl. Therein resides the Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha named Sky Auspicious, Immaculate, Dust-Removing, Utterly Beautiful, Adornment of Qualities, Crown of Light, Flower Lotus, Lapis Lazuli Light Rays, possessing a body like a precious form, worshiped with supreme and excellent incense, his body fully adorned and well-decorated, from the crown of his head emanating immeasurable rays of sunlight, adorned with the aspiration of moonlight, possessing a great display of supreme manifestation, manifestly arisen from the Dharmadhātu, the unobstructed Jewel King. He is still living, dwelling, and teaching the Dharma. Whoever holds the name of that Victorious One will turn away from saṃsāra for as many kalpas as there are dust particles of Jambudvīpa. He will prophesy the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva named Unequaled. That Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha named Sky Auspicious, Immaculate, Dust-Removing, Utterly Beautiful, Adornment of Qualities, Crown of Light, Flower Lotus, Lapis Lazuli Light Rays, possessing a body like a precious form, worshiped with supreme and excellent incense, his body fully adorned and well-decorated, from the crown of his head emanating immeasurable rays of sunlight, adorned with the aspiration of moonlight, possessing a great display of supreme manifestation, manifestly arisen from the Dharmadhātu, the unobstructed Jewel King, he will come.

The Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, endowed with knowledge and conduct, Sugata, Knower of the World, unsurpassed Guide of beings to be tamed, Teacher of gods and humans, Buddha, Bhagavan, Water God Youth, Lamp of the Sun, Flower of the Moon, Lotus, Golden-hued, with a body like the sky, adorned with all kinds of ornaments, radiating light, the unobstructed circle of the wheel, radiating light in the ten directions, illuminating all realms of the world, named Crown Banner King, will appear in the world. To recite the names of these twelve Tathagatas, perfect Buddhas, one should spend ten days confessing all sins. One should rejoice in all roots of virtue. One should exhort all Buddhas and pray to all Buddhas, and one should dedicate all roots of virtue to the realm of Dharma. However, all sins will be exhausted. All karmic obscurations will be completely purified. After that, one will also obtain the perfection of the qualities of the Buddha-field, the perfection of fearlessness, the perfection of names, the perfection of the Bodhisattva Sangha, and the perfection of Dharani. One will also obtain the perfection of Samadhi. As one wishes, the Buddha-field will be completely pure and perfect, and one will quickly obtain the perfection of a virtuous friend. One will not regress from the unexcelled, perfect, complete enlightenment, and one will not completely fall away. When wandering in Samsara, one will always be beautiful, and one will also obtain its perfect enjoyment, perfect lineage, perfect birth, perfect bloodline, perfect form, and the perfect retinue of beings of the same kind. To this, one should say: Wherever one is born, in all lifetimes, seeing brings joy and causes joy, one will be radiant and have great power, and one will become very wealthy.
