In Tibetan: The essence of the tantra of Holy Manjushri. Homage to the youthful Holy Manjushri! Thus, the Buddha, the Blessed One, Is the wisdom body, self-born, The wisdom eye, immaculate, The wisdom light, radiant. A ra pa ca na ya te na ma. I praise you, the wisdom body! Spoken by all the perfect Buddhas. The complete and accurate recitation of the ultimate name of the Blessed One Manjushri Wisdom Bodhisattva, spoken by the Tathagata Shakyamuni, is complete! Blessed One, I beseech all the deities of the five families of Manjushri to clearly show me all the good and bad of appearance and existence! Having prayed thus, rays of five colors emanated from the bodies of the five families of Manjushri and dissolved into the abacus. Therefore, this variegated foundation of all existence is, outwardly, a powerful golden earth, the nature of the five elements; inwardly, the nature of the body, flesh, blood, warmth, and breath of the one being calculated; secretly, the essence of the mind, samsara, and nirvana of the one being calculated. Thus, its form is an emanation of Holy Manjushri, the Maha Golden Tortoise. On its body are the eight trigrams, the nine palaces, the eighty-one numbers, the twelve years, the sixty old years, etc., complete with three hundred and sixty earth base numbers, abiding in the form of the Wisdom Mother. Above it is the blue turquoise tortoise of the sky, with the eight great planets, the twenty-eight constellations, the sky dog, etc., complete with three hundred and sixty sky base numbers.

That is the method, residing face down like a father. In that space, a white conch shell stands upright. There are seventeen lords and ministers revolving in the year, seventeen lords and ministers revolving in the month, and three hundred and sixty complete divination pieces in the sky, such as the lords of the day and food. Thus, on the body of the Maha Golden Turtle, father, mother, and son, one thousand six hundred divination pieces are displayed. From among the one thousand six hundred divination pieces, the past, present, and future lives of those to be calculated, karma and the ripening of karma, whether there are obstacles and hindrances, the length of life, the rise and fall of fortune and luck, high and low birth, and so on, may they appear like reflections in a mirror! To that end, may the essence of the five families of Manjushri in front, all the gods, sages, heroes, and dakinis, manifest clearly to me as the basis of reliance, and may they act as the impartial judge and witness of the decision!
