Most people wander around, seeking illegitimate livelihoods. Child, it is so amazing that you do meaningless meditation! Although (some) use the destruction of self and others as a weapon, there are many weaklings who cherish life more than anything else. Most people are reluctant to give up (life) even when faced with death. Child, it is so amazing that you broke your bow and arrow! Some people only know how to mend shoes, but there are many (people) who are slow to give, claiming they need an awl. Although needs and desires can arise from the fingertips, child, it is so amazing that you offered blacksmith tools! Although there are many false practitioners, there are very many faithless wandering beggars. Most people sell the Dharma and expose their own shortcomings. Child, it is so amazing that you remember the Dharma when you are happy! Although many people say they have a clear realm, there are very many whose behavior is worse than before. Most people's attachment to the five poisons is stronger than before. Child, your ability to practice is so amazing! The first of the four dharmas of matchless Dagpo, the root of Mahamudra meditation, and the second of the Kadampa's stages of the path, it is so amazing that these arise in your mind, child!
