The son born from the union of the father and mother was an emanation of Avalokiteśvara. Lord Mahakala was born. He wears a great black silk cloak. His right hand holds a great sandalwood club. From within the sandalwood club, billions of divine soldiers emerge. His left hand holds an iron kapala. He drinks the heart's blood of enemies who break their vows. He rides a fierce tiger. He is surrounded by a retinue of thousands of black ones. He sends the eight classes of gods and demons as messengers. He repels the attack of the Asura demons. He seized the kingdom of the white gods. After Vajradhara bestowed the empowerment, Vajrapani made a vow. To protect the Buddha's teachings, to care for yogis like sons, and to swear oaths and profound vows. Remember your past vows!
