I prostrate to Ma. I prostrate to the Lamdre lineage, including Drokmi Lotsawa, Seton Jamyang, and the seven generations. I prostrate to the Kadampa lineage, including Jowo Je Atisha, Dromtonpa, the Khu brothers, and Gyalse brothers. I prostrate to the Mahamudra lineage, including Marpa, Mila, Dagpo, and the four lineages of the Kagyu. I prostrate to the Chöd lineage, including Aryadeva, Dampa Sangye, and Labdrön. I prostrate to the wisdom dakinis, including the Twenty-one Taras and the One Hundred and Eight Taras. I prostrate to the wisdom protectors, including the Five Great Guardians and the retinue of goddesses and attendants. Before each of those deities, I emanate countless bodies and prostrate. In all realms of the world and all Buddhafields, I offer whatever offerings I can imagine. I, alone, confess all the sins of myself and all sentient beings. I rejoice in the accumulation of merit of all the Buddhas' sons and disciples. For the benefit of all sentient beings, I request that the great vehicle of Dharma be turned. I pray that you will not pass into nirvana but remain until samsara is empty. I dedicate all the merit of my three times, beginning with this prostration made with faith and respect, for the benefit of all sentient beings. May the sins and obscurations of all beings be purified. By joining the palms of the right and left hands, may I unite method and wisdom. By joining the palms at the crown of my head, may I ascend to the Akanishta pure land. By touching the palms to my forehead, may all the obscurations of my body be purified. By touching the palms to my throat, may all the obscurations of my speech be purified. By touching the palms to my heart, may all the obscurations of my mind be purified. By separating the joined palms, may I benefit beings with the two form bodies. By placing both knees on the ground, may I crush samsara and the lower realms under my feet. By placing the ten fingers of both hands on the ground, may I gradually ascend the ten bhumis and five paths. By touching my forehead to the ground, may I attain the eleventh bhumi of all-pervading light. By stretching and contracting the four limbs, may the four activities be spontaneously accomplished. By stretching and contracting at all times, May all the root knots be forcefully untied! By bending and straightening the central spinal column, May all the winds enter the central channel! By touching the ground and rising upwards, May we not remain in samsara and attain the noble path! Thereafter, by bending downwards, May we not dwell in peace and guide sentient beings! By the merit of offering a hundred prostrations, May we have long life, be free from illness, and be perfectly endowed in this life! At the time of death, may we be born in the Pure Land of Sukhavati, And may we attain the state of complete enlightenment! May all the deities in front dissolve into light, And by dissolving into me, may I receive empowerment and blessings! May I realize my own mind, the Dharmakaya, nakedly and directly, And may I abide serenely, without scattering into many thoughts! Images and objects are unseen, unspeakable, With certainty in one's own mind, one who has experience, Sale Sengnge, Hrigge, nakedly bare, Like the center of a clear, cloudless sky! This is the great mudra of devotion, Do not be distracted, look at your own face, Emaho! Keep this in mind, recite, meditate, and perform a hundred prostrations. This is the sequence of the hand mudras, a compilation of the hand mudra sequence, Concise in words, great in meaning, transformation, and benefit. The number of deities is large, the sequence is profound and clear, This is the essence of sutra, tantra, and pith instructions. For the ignorant ones of later generations who desire the Dharma, May they enjoy it and accomplish their ultimate aspirations! Composed by an old monk named Ra ga, Written down by one named Prajna. Sarva Mangalam! (Sanskrit, Sarva Maṅgalaṃ, All auspiciousness!) Bhavantu! (Sanskrit, Bhavantu, May it be!) By the merit of constructing this scripture, Holding and reciting it, May we, the Dharma brothers and sisters and retinue, And the patrons who provide for our livelihood, Have auspiciousness and long life in this life, And be perfectly endowed with happiness and well-being, Whenever we pass away from here, May we be dedicated to being born in Sukhavati. This was said by A Ra ga. Compiled and published by the Nangchen (Nangchen County) Angang Institute of Technology and Culture, Do Ngag Chöpel Ling Ancient Book Restoration Room in Upper Kham.
