People intoxicated by alcohol, Without distinguishing between your home and my home, Head down, buttocks up, upside down and chaotic. Sleep meaninglessly like a corpse. Like a female yak that has lost its cow and calf, Like lighting a musket on the buttocks. Inviting laughter from the whole family, Without shame, without joy or sorrow, without thought. This is a sign of being reborn as an animal. Without distinguishing between monks and laity, Due to the sin of drinking alcohol, They will fall into the hell of drinking molten iron. The Sutra of Cause and Effect says: How many mouthfuls of alcohol are drunk, That much molten iron must be drunk. Due to the sin of drinking alcohol, They will be reborn in hell, as hungry ghosts, and as animals, The Sutra of Mindfulness says. The cause of drinking alcohol, Will be reborn as bees, lepers, etc., Becoming worms without faith. Due to the karma of drinking alcohol, They will be reborn as madmen five hundred times. This is what the Holy Nagarjuna said. The Sutra of Mindfulness says: Whoever abstains from alcohol, Abides in the nature of Dharma, He will go to, The supreme place where there is no death. The sutra says they will be reborn in Sukhavati. Therefore, the benefits of abstaining from alcohol are great. Whether practicing Dharma or worldly affairs in this life, Everything will go smoothly.
