Granting refuge. White rays emanate like the rising sun. As soon as I and all those to be protected are touched, Harms are dispelled as sunlight hits hail. Fear, the giver of fearlessness, Bodhisattva, Great Bodhisattva, Noble Avalokiteshvara, to you I prostrate! I prostrate! Noble Avalokiteshvara, I beseech you to protect me and all those to be protected from all fears and harms! om padma cindhā maṇi jāla hūṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་པདྨ་ཚིནྡྷ་མ་ཎི་ཛཱ་ལ་ཧཱུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ padma cindhā maṇi jāla hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Lotus, Cut, Jewel, Net, Hum) is the heart essence of Avalokiteshvara Cintamani Chakra. All fears and harms, be pacified, be extinguished, svāhā! One, seven, three, etc., should be recited according to need. If there is no doubt, it will protect all fears. It is widely spoken of in the White Lotus Sutra. This mantra is the tantra of the Cintamani Chakra, It is an Indian teaching passed down from the Sakya school. The order of these three teachings, upper, middle, and lower, Their benefits are widely explained in their respective sutras. Blessing, power of truth, protection are unparalleled, In these three realms, you have the greatest power, Therefore, you are universally known as the Lord of the World. To avert with the power of your compassion, Wherever the harm is to oneself, Or the direction the guest has left, or the direction where fear exists, Open your mouth, and instantly remember the completion. Visualize a thousand hands and a thousand eyes appearing in yourself. Stand with your feet together, and stretch out your two hands horizontally, with your palms facing the sky. Then draw them back, with your hands clasped together at your heart. Place them back to back, with your left hand on top of your right hand. Visualize white rays emanating from your body, Averting whatever fear and harm there may be, as if dark clouds are scattered by the wind. Namo Arya Avalokiteshvaraya! Tadyatha Sarva Dusta Oha Yame Svaha (Tibetan: ན་མོ་ཨཱརྱ་ཨ་ཝ་ལོ་ཀི་ཏེ་ཤྭ་ར་ཡ། ཏདྱ་ཐཱ། སརྦ་དུཥྛ་ཨོ་ཧ་ཡ་མེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: namo ārya avalokiteśvarāya, tadyathā, sarva duṣṭa oha yame svāhā, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to Noble Avalokiteshvara! It is explained in the Thousand Hands and Thousand Eyes Sutra and other texts. Averting with the power of compassion is unparalleled. In particular, the method for averting evil spells is: om mani padme hūṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Mani Padme Hum). Avert! Avert! Avert! Avert! Thum Thum! Shak Shak! Tsal Tsal! Harmful one, flesh-eating demon, seize! By reciting it slightly, the evil spell can be bounced back. This profound oral instruction, The meaning of the scriptures dawns as practical advice. This is the realized Dharma attained through one's own practice. For a wise person who understands the vast scriptures, If analyzed, a deeper instruction than this, Even if sought in the three realms, it cannot be found. Thus, on the twenty-eighth day of the Sagittarius month of the Horse year, During the feast gathering of the glorious Lama's seasonal offering, All that Ra ga A sya spoke, Was written down by Lama Tsering Gyatso. Since there is no fault, there is nothing to confess. May this virtue protect all beings from all fears! Chapter Fourteen, auspicious and complete!
