The medium and lower experiences are: bathing in dreams, wearing clean white clothes, vomiting, pus and blood coming out of the body, etc., are signs of purification of sins and obscurations; raising prayer flags, blowing conch shells, going to the top of high mountains, sitting on a throne, teaching the Dharma, giving empowerments, gathering crowds, wearing beautiful clothes, wearing precious ornaments, building beautiful houses, etc., are signs of increasing merit; blowing conch shells, playing music, picking flowers, offering the three whites and jewels, gathering ornamented women, etc., are signs of controlling appearances and existence; raining flowers, reciting the six-syllable mantra (oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Tibetan: ༀ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ मणि पद्मे हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om! Jewel in the Lotus! Hum!), going to Mount Potala and Sukhavati, seeing the faces of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, receiving prophecies, hearing the Dharma, etc., are signs of blessings entering; good experiences and realizations arise spontaneously, remembering death, the thought arises that nothing is necessary, having faith in the Guru, having pure perception of Dharma friends, having certainty in the Dharma, these are all signs of attaining supreme accomplishment. In this way, after completing the retreat, the way to exit the retreat is the same as usual. After exiting the retreat, one should always maintain the self-generation visualization without interruption, and continuously perform the evening lotus light flame torma offering. The daily recitation should also only be the six-syllable mantra (oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Tibetan: ༀ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ मणि पद्मे हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om! Jewel in the Lotus! Hum!). In the evening, perform the profound key instructions, the reversion of the Lion-faced Dakini, and the evening Vajra Guru recitation of one mala of beads, these should not be interrupted. These are not fixed for session and between sessions, whenever you remember, directly look at the nature of your mind. Sometimes practice the visualization of the generation stage and recite the six-syllable mantra (oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Tibetan: ༀ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ मणि पद्मे हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om! Jewel in the Lotus! Hum!). Sometimes do not visualize anything, just guard your own mind and recite the six-syllable mantra (oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Tibetan: ༀ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ मणि पद्मे हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om! Jewel in the Lotus! Hum!). Sometimes observe the nature of your mind in a state where the generation stage is not distracted. Sometimes practice the generation stage of the Great Compassionate One in a state where the practice of emptiness is not lost. For the Great Compassionate One, sometimes visualize it as large as Mount Sumeru, filling the entire sky. Sometimes visualize it as the size of your own body, sometimes visualize it as getting smaller and smaller, as small as a mustard seed. In this way, do whatever you can, and recite the six-syllable mantra (oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Tibetan: ༀ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ मणि पद्मे हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om! Jewel in the Lotus! Hum!), do not recite it silently without meaning, but clearly recite each syllable on your tongue. Because it is a secret mantra, do not recite it loudly. This was written according to the wisdom of Jampa Kyab, Araka wrote it down immediately. May there be auspiciousness! A brief record of the daily recitation of the Great Compassionate One Gyalwa Gyatso.
