General Introduction to Empowerment. General Introduction to Empowerment. General Introduction to Empowerment is complete. Now, in order to make this empowerment being requested a suitable vessel, I will briefly explain the preliminary Dharma teachings. Such a precious human body with eighteen qualities of leisure and endowment is difficult to obtain. As stated in the Sutra of the White Lotus of Compassion: Alas! It is difficult to be born as a human, it is difficult to obtain perfect leisure, it is difficult for a Buddha to appear in the world, and it is difficult to have desire for virtuous Dharma. So it is said. This difficult-to-obtain human body also does not last long, and there is no certainty when death will come. As stated by Gyalsé Zhiwa Lha (Prince Shantideva): The time when I will cease to exist will inevitably come. So it is said. Furthermore, there is no certainty when death will come. Tomorrow and the next life, there is no telling which will come first. Therefore, do not strive for the affairs of tomorrow, but strive for the affairs of the next life. So it is said. Furthermore, on the morning of impermanent death, relatives and wealth will be left behind, the body will become a corpse, and consciousness must go accompanied by virtuous and non-virtuous deeds. As stated in the Sutra Requested by Paljin: Parents, siblings, children, and spouses, servants, wealth, relatives, and retinues, none of them will follow after death. Deeds will follow and they will go. So it is said. Furthermore, consciousness wanders in the bardo, unable to go freely and without much freedom. Controlled by virtuous and non-virtuous deeds, it goes like a cotton fluff carried by the wind. As it is said: From deeds, various worlds are born. So it is said. Furthermore, by committing great non-virtuous deeds, one is born in hell; by committing medium non-virtuous deeds, one is born as a preta; by committing small non-virtuous deeds, one is born as an animal. As stated by the great teacher Nagarjuna: From non-virtuous deeds, suffering arises; likewise, all the bad migrations are the same. So it is said. By committing great virtuous deeds with outflows, one is born as a deva; by committing medium virtuous deeds, one is born as a human; by committing small virtuous deeds, one is born as an asura. As it is said: Through virtuous deeds, happiness is attained. So it is said. Thus, no matter where one is born in the six realms, it is the nature of suffering, merely the waves of birth, old age, sickness, and death. As stated by the great teacher Nagarjuna: In samsara, there is never any happiness even as small as the tip of a needle. So it is said. The method to escape from the ocean of suffering of samsara, the Bhagavan has

It is said that there are eighty-four thousand aggregates. All the eighty-four thousand dharma aggregates that are spoken of all flow into and rely on this emptiness. Thus it is said. All of these, in brief, are contained within the two vehicles, the great and the small. The Sugata's vehicles are of two kinds: the great and the small. Thus it is said. Furthermore, the wish to liberate oneself alone from the ocean of samsara is the vehicle of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers. Because their wisdom and compassion are small, it is an inferior vehicle. The wish to attain Buddhahood for the sake of all sentient beings is the Great Vehicle. In the Ornament for Clear Realization, it is said: "The generation of the mind is for the sake of others, desiring perfect and complete enlightenment." Thus it is said. Furthermore, first generating the supreme mind of enlightenment, then accumulating merit for three countless eons, purifying obscurations, and then attaining Buddhahood is called the Characteristic Vehicle, which is very difficult and the path is long. To attain Buddhahood in the Secret Mantra, with many methods and without difficulty, and relying on sharp faculties, the Mantra Vehicle is particularly excellent. Thus it is said. Furthermore, the Action Tantra primarily demonstrates cleanliness of body and speech, and fasting, etc. The Performance Tantra practices both inner samadhi and outer cleanliness. The Yoga Tantra primarily demonstrates the yoga of inner samadhi. These three are called the three outer tantras of Secret Mantra, which invite the wisdom deity from the outside. Thus, by practicing the Action and Performance Tantras, one can attain Buddhahood in sixty lifetimes. By practicing the Yoga Tantra, one can attain Buddhahood in sixteen lifetimes. In the Inner Meaning, it is said: "On that path of the perfections, even if one possesses only the skillful means of action and performance, it takes sixty lifetimes; yoga takes sixteen lifetimes." Thus it is said. If one practices the Anuttarayoga Tantra, the diligent one will attain Buddhahood in one lifetime and one body, the intermediate one will attain Buddhahood in the bardo, and the lowest one will attain Buddhahood in three lifetimes in future lives. If one receives empowerment and does not break the vows, it is said that one will definitely attain Buddhahood within seven lifetimes, even without practice. Therefore, the path is very near. In the Self-Arisen Tantra, it is said: "The unsurpassed (tantra) says that one lifetime will definitely accomplish the diligent one." Thus it is said. Furthermore, the view of the New Schools is that
