They went together in amazement. The former playmates said, 'He is not dead, he is alive.' Then they came before him. The villagers said, 'He has gone to the cemetery for a ritual.' When he met his parents, they embraced and fainted with joy, and when they woke up, they were even more happy than if he had risen from the dead. They asked the corpse carriers how he had come back to life. They said, 'When we were handling the corpse, a pigeon came to the corpse, and the child came back to life.' The parents cherished and cared for him as before, and associated with him. Compared to the previous child, he was more gentle, devoted to the Dharma, respectful to his parents, and kind to the poor. He had faith in the Three Jewels and strived to do good deeds. They knew that this was not the consciousness of the previous child, so they asked him why. The pigeon told in detail the story of moving from Tibet to this place. In the language of India, a pigeon is called 'De-pu.' They were amazed by this. His name became De-pu, and people no longer thought of him as a child, but called him a lama. He served the Brahmin parents, and in this life he also received help like a son. From then on, he enjoyed great wealth, and all his wishes were fulfilled. That son also grew tall and had a beautiful appearance and dignified manners. He was very devoted to the Dharma and learned reading and writing from the teacher Guptavajra. When he was fifteen years old, he went before Naropa and became a monk, and flowers rained down, music sounded, the earth shook, and many wonderful signs appeared. Once, Panchen Naropa asked for many teachings of the Dharma. The venerable Naropa danced from the sky, rainbows pitched tents, and dakinis gathered like clouds. In the midst of them were the venerable Tilopa, wearing six bone ornaments, dressed in cemetery clothes, holding a vajra and a skull, and the departed ones as numerous as the stars in the sky, and Vajravarahi and an ocean of dakinis. He developed immeasurable faith. Tilopa taught many secret mantra instructions in a symbolic way. Many dakinis, such as Vajravarahi, transmitted the teachings to his mind in the form of mind transmission. He told Naropa about these experiences. Naropa said with a joyful expression, 'You...'

Tipu, the son of Marpa, entered the city from the body of a Brahmin's son. He was the blessed son of the venerable Tilopa, and the teachings of the secret mantra spread in both China and Tibet, enabling fortunate ones to ripen and be liberated. Therefore, the master said, "Let the name be Tipu Secret Mantra Tree." He studied and became proficient in the five sciences. He received the complete oral instructions from Naropa and the Dakini Maitripa. Naropa said, "Tipu, you should also practice meditation." At the age of eighteen, Naropa said, "Gather a retinue." At that time, Tipu went for alms. In a great city called Deden, a woman with auspicious marks, of good lineage, with proper conduct and virtuous character, came to offer alms to Tipu. Tipu, seeing her auspicious marks, intended to take her as his consort. That auspicious woman also saw Tipu as the actual Buddha, prostrated and prayed, and requested the accomplishment of non-separation. Tipu took her as his consort, and her name became Dakini Jnana Mitra. After that, Tipu went to the city of Varanasi. All the city dwellers gathered to behold Tipu's face. Among them, there was a woman with auspicious marks who respectfully prostrated and had fervent devotion. Tipu took her as his consort, relied on a mudra, and practiced with the fruit of mantra. Her name was Padma Panja. After that, Tipu and his parents, adorned with the eight charnel ground ornaments, diligently practiced in a secluded forest. It is said that after three years of practice, his experience and realization continuously increased, and he realized the inseparability of bliss and emptiness without attachment. He thoroughly understood the ultimate meaning of the heart essence, attained common accomplishments, and also accomplished the eight great siddhis and the four activities. After that, the three, father, mother, and son, transformed into three swans, and in the western flower garden, they met Ani Accomplishment Queen, an emanation of the White-Clothed Dakini, requested the empowerment of Amitayus, and pleased the Vidyadhara of Longevity. They went to the place of the one hundred and twenty-four charnel grounds and met many Vidyadharas of the past. They unanimously said: "Great Vajradhara Heruka, Heruka is known as Tilopa, you are an emanation of Tilopa's heart."
