Thereafter, even though he displayed terrifying miracles, he subdued them all with his power and bound them. The five Tsering sisters offered baman beer and requested the teachings on generating the mind of enlightenment. When plague broke out in Dingma Brin, Tseringma was invited and dispelled the plague. After that, in order to repay her kindness, the five Tsering sisters offered various offerings, and also acted as secret consorts, offering the five accomplishments. Then, while residing in Lachi Chuzang, gods and demons destroyed rocks, hurled hailstones, and displayed miracles. After singing songs, they served him faithfully for a month. In Chonglung Rock, he saw the face of Marpa, and when the seven Acharyas displayed miracles, they gradually vanished by singing songs. Meeting the Indian saint, he praised and extolled him. Flying on water, a boy developed faith and followed him, becoming known as Shiwa-o. Then, while practicing retreat in Chokro Dri, five girls offered songs of experience, and upon receiving answers, developed faith. In U-na, while fleeing to avoid hailstones, he remained silent for eight years at Namtso Lake and departed to the realm of the Dakinis. Milarepa prophesied that Rechungpa would go to India. When he returned to Tibet, he caused a fierce hailstorm. Milarepa sat inside a yak horn and performed the wheel of illusion. Rechungpa's books of evil mantras were burned by Milarepa in fire. In order to restore Rechungpa's faith, Milarepa displayed the Kagyu lineage lamas on the crown of his head, and the mandala of yidam deities in the five places of his body. Flying in the sky and leaving footprints on rocks as if they were mud, displaying magical powers in the middle of the ocean, and showing many manifestations, he caused them to develop faith. A Bonpo guided him with seven words, and three Brinkas beat him with sticks. After being imprisoned and locked in a cell, he appeared outside even before them. Then, after being brought inside and tied to a pillar, the one who tied him found himself bound, and no one could pull him out, even if they wanted to. Everyone developed faith, prostrated, and circumambulated. In just one day, he displayed many manifestations, performed purification of sorrow, found water sources, taught the Dharma, resided in rock caves, went to the mountains, and made knots. He subdued the armies of demons for the sake of the kind protector. He met the Indian siddha Dharma Bhoti. Milarepa came flying in the sky, riding a lion, and sitting on the sun and moon, manifesting golden stupas, and so on.
