All hatred of beings, torment of attendants, mutual discord, decline of wealth and enjoyment, suffering of sorrow, harm from visible enemies and invisible demons, harm from humans and non-humans, all harm from the eight fears such as disease, famine, and war, all lack of the wealth of Dharma, all harm from planets and stars, all evil spells from others, all harm from four hundred and four types of diseases, all harm from three hundred and sixty types of spirits, all harm from eighty thousand types of obstacles, all harm from fifteen great child-stealing demons, all harm from three hundred and sixty types of evil spirits, all harm from eighty-one sudden occurrences, furthermore, all defilements and impurities, filth, bad luck, and inauspicious objects, all calamities and evil spirits of years, months, days, and times, all defilements and poisons from the evil sights, sounds, thoughts, touches, intentions, and actions of the eight classes of gods and demons of existence, all defilements and poisons from the elements of earth, water, fire, wind, and sky. Defilement of leprosy, defilement of corpses, defilement of filth, all impure defilements, of kings, elementals, and witches, all defilements of gods and demons, defilement by gods, nagas, and nyen spirits, all defilements of conceptual thoughts, defilement by gandharvas, kumbhandas, and flesh-eaters, defilement by yakshas, defilement by theurang, demons, and spirits, all defilements of obstacles, the five poisons of affliction, the three poisons, defilement of karma, vows and commitments of individual liberation, bodhisattva, and secret mantra, all defilements of broken vows, may the great lord of defilement remove defilements. Root mantra: For me, the benefactor, and the field of merit, may all defilements, diseases, and evil spirits of the inner and outer body, speech, and mind be purified, may it be clear like a crystal egg, may all dualistic clinging to objects be purified, may we abide in the pure realm. ū krotaya... ūṭa śaṭaya... e liṃ e ṭaya... la mon tra... īs ni pis ni ṭaya... Recite as much as possible. May the four hundred and four diseases, the twenty-one thousand obstacles, the three hundred and sixty evil spirits, and the eight thousand kinds of obstructing forces be purified. Oṃ īs ca ṭa... etc. Oṃ bhurkuṃ mahā pramaṇa ye bhurci bhurkuṃ bi male u cuṣma krota hūṃ phaṭ svāhā! May all unfavorable conditions such as diseases, evil spirits, sins, obscurations, broken vows, wars, famines, decline, hatred, curses, evil spirits, bad omens, nightmares, leprosy, butchers, places, companions, cushions, defilements of clothes, filth, severance, oath-taking, corpse odors, disease-causing spirits, wealth-causing spirits, evil spirits, punishments for offending deities and protectors, disasters, etc., be pacified. Sarva śāntiṃ kuru ye svāhā! Thus, cleanse and sprinkle and drink the vase water, etc. Then, the bathing deities dissolve into light and merge into you, so that the body, speech, and mind of the secret lord Vajrapani are inseparable from your body, speech, and mind. Meditate that all parts of the body are covered with vajra armor, so that from now on, no obstacles, disasters, or obstructing forces can find an opportunity. By the blessings of the truth of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and by the power of Vajrapani's subjugation, I have protected these beings, so from now on, let no one harm them. At the end of the near-heart mantra: dāna pati ka va ci rakṣa kuru bhrūṃ svāhā! For the benefit of the donor, protect kavaca, do, bhrūṃ, svāhā! Sick sentient beings, the benefactor's retinue, eight thousand obstructing forces. The embodiment of the compassion and activity of all Buddhas, the protector of beings in the degenerate age, Orgyen Rinpoche, may the teachings flourish and spread in all directions and times, may victory over obstacles and demons bring auspiciousness! Abide in the state of self-arisen awareness, free from conceptualization. At the request of some close disciples, the elderly Shakya monk, Changeless Banner of Goodness, quickly wrote this.
