The Connection of Wrathful and Peaceful Empowerment, Arousing Joy in the Faithful. The Connection of Wrathful and Peaceful Empowerment, Arousing Joy in the Faithful. The profound Dharma, the empowerment connection of the Wrathful and Peaceful Ones, the Self-Liberation of Intentions, entitled "Arousing Joy in the Faithful," is present. Om Vajra Ratna Puspe Siddhi Tram! For the sake of all sentient beings equal to the sky, may I attain the precious state of complete and perfect enlightenment. For that purpose, thinking that I will listen to the profound ripening empowerment, the root of the path of secret mantra Vajrayana, please clearly establish the conduct of listening to the Dharma as stated in the sutras and tantras, and listen with respect. The order of what is to be listened to is as follows: We have been born in the southern continent of Jambudvipa, which is the most excellent of the four continents, which is difficult to be born in. We have obtained this precious human body with leisure and opportunity, which is difficult to find and, if found, is of great significance. We have met the teachings of the teacher of the three bodies of the Buddha, which is difficult to meet, and the masters of the teachings, the noble lamas. We have obtained the mandala of empowerment, which is difficult to obtain, and the profound instructions of the Wrathful and Peaceful Ones, the Self-Liberation of Intentions, which liberates merely by hearing the names of the deities. If one is to practice Dharma, one has the autonomy to practice. At this time when one knows a little about the methods of practice, one must strive to seize the opportunity to grasp the path to liberation. If one does not strive in this way, then this precious human body with leisure and opportunity is difficult to obtain, and although it is of great significance to obtain, it is also easily destroyed, like a water bubble or a butter lamp in the wind. If the reason for this is explained in detail, then the end of all those who have been born is certainly death, and it is uncertain when they will die, and death is of no benefit to anything, and there is nothing permanent or stable except for these three characteristics. Years, months, days, mornings and evenings, even if only a moment passes, life is exhausted and one gets closer to death. Regardless of age or whether there is illness or not, one cannot predict what kind of death will occur. Especially now in this degenerate age, the life expectancy of beings has fallen to around thirty years, and no one can determine when they will die. Moreover, strong negative conditions such as planetary conjunctions

Since it has come to this, there is no certainty of not dying even tonight. In short, no matter from which aspect of scriptures, teachings, or reasoning one examines and analyzes, it is certain that there is nothing to rely on. Even if one dies like this, what can be done about dying? If after dying, one does not need to be reborn again, but returns to nothingness, that would be fine. But if one does not return to nothingness, but is reborn again and again in this state of samsara, then rebirth is nothing more than the two paths of evil and good. These two depend on the pulling and taking of the actions of good and bad karma alone. Karma is not something autonomous. The good deeds we have done in the past are few, but the bad deeds we have committed are many. If one falls into the evil realms due to the result of bad karma, then in hell one must experience the suffering of heat and cold, in the preta realm one must experience the suffering of hunger and thirst, and in the animal realm one must experience the fear of being used and devoured by each other, which is unbearable. If one is born into the three realms of heaven due to the karmic result of accumulating a little bit of contaminated virtue, then the Asuras must fight, humans must experience birth, old age, sickness, death, and busyness, and the gods must experience the suffering of death and falling. In short, these three realms and six realms, wherever one is born, are places of suffering, whoever one associates with is a companion of suffering, whatever one enjoys is an enjoyment of suffering, and whatever one does is only a painful welcoming and sending off, with not a moment's chance of happiness. The only way to save and liberate oneself from such suffering is to rely on the sacred Dharma. And the Dharma also has the distinction between the Vehicle of Characteristics as the cause and the Vehicle of Vajra as the result, as well as the entrance to the path, the actual practice, the provisional and definitive meanings, the long and short paths, the profound and swift paths, and so on. But what is being taught here is the Dharma of the Secret Mantra Vajrayana, which is the essence of the three baskets of Sutra, Vinaya, and Abhidharma, which summarizes all the dharmas of samsara and nirvana into six bardos and introduces them, and which distills the essence of all heart instructions into one profound Dharma, called "Peaceful and Wrathful Deities: Self-Liberation Through Intention," whose blessings are far superior to other dharmas. The glorious Samantabhadra himself also said: Whoever
