Merely mentioning and remembering his name, Destroys the power of the Lord of Death and the Maras, Grants the glory of immortal life, I prostrate and praise Amitayus. Here, as the order I practice myself, to make the Yoga of Amitayus a daily practice: First, take refuge and generate bodhicitta, etc. Instantly, transform yourself into Victorious Amitayus, with one face and two arms. From the letter ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hrih) at your heart, rays of light emanate, Inviting from Sukhavati, Protector Amitayus, father and sons, along with their retinue. ༀ་ཨ་པ་ར་མི་ཏ་ཨཱ་ཡུརྫྙཱ་ན་ས་པཱ་རི་ཝ་ར་ཨེ་ཧྱ་ཧི། (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओँ अपरिमिता आयुर्ज्ञाना स परिवार एह्येहि, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ aparimita āyurjñāna sa parivāra ehyehi, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, immeasurable, life, wisdom, with retinue, come here, come here) In the sky in front, on a precious throne supported by peacocks, on a lotus and moon cushion, Victorious Amitayus, with a red body, one face, and two arms, Holding a vase filled with immortal nectar in the mudra of meditation, Adorned with various precious ornaments, including a crown, Sitting in the vajra posture. From his body adorned with marks and signs, emanate immeasurable rays of light. To his right is Avalokiteshvara, and to his left is Mahasthamaprapta. Surrounding them are all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The essence of the infallible Three Jewels, The hero who liberates from the fear of the lower realms, The compassionate one who leads to the pure land, I prostrate to Protector Amitabha. Lord Avalokiteshvara, the great treasure of love, Mahasthamaprapta, the master of power and ability, To the assembly of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, I prostrate with reverence in body, speech, and mind. Two waters, offerings, music, and the five desirable objects, All the offerings that exist in infinite realms, My body, possessions, virtuous accumulations, and mandala, I offer to you, great compassionate ones, for your pleasure. All the sins and downfalls accumulated since beginningless time, And all the faults that obstruct reaching the end of life and being born in the supreme land of bliss, I confess each one with a remorseful mind, regretting them. 随喜诸方土地神祇。祈请遍布十方一切诸佛，转动殊胜法轮。为了所有众生的利益，祈请诸佛于百劫中不入涅槃。以此为首的所有善行，皆为往生极乐净土，成就佛果而回向。如是行持七支供。若稍作扩展，于称念善逝或新升旭日二者任一之后，祈请总集一切皈依境之自性，圣救度佛母无量寿佛，以及观世音自在怙主，大威力士等眷属众。如是念诵三遍等。并与其相连，祈请赐予我等无死寿命之持明。祈请加持我等自此命终之后，立即得生极乐世界。如是尽力祈请之后，于结尾处，观想所有皈依境之身相，以及无量寿佛手中之宝瓶，流出无死甘露之流，融入自身之各部分。最终，观想所有皈依境融入自身心间，自身即转成一面二臂之无量寿佛，心间之ཧྲཱིཿ（藏文：ཧྲཱིཿ，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，汉语字面意思：舍）字放出光明。勾召一切续命、福德、财富，化为光芒与甘露，以及各种颜色的吉祥八宝之相，融入心间之ཧྲཱིཿ（藏文：ཧྲཱིཿ，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，汉语字面意思：舍）字及咒鬘之中。并观想融入其中。念诵ༀ་ཨ་མ་ར་ཎཱི་ཛི་ཝནྟི་ཡེ་སྭཱཧཱ།（藏文：ༀ་ཨ་མ་ར་ཎཱི་ཛི་ཝནྟི་ཡེ་སྭཱཧཱ།，梵文天城体：ॐ अमरणि जीविति ये स्वाहा，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ amaraṇi jīviti ye svāhā，汉语字面意思：嗡，无死，命，赐予，梭哈）百遍等，随力念诵。若欲念诵长咒亦可。最后念诵百字明，或ༀ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་ཧཱུཾ།（藏文：ༀ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་ཧཱུཾ།，梵文天城体：ॐ वज्रसत्त्व हूँ，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ vajrasattva hūṃ，汉语字面意思：嗡，金刚萨埵，吽）三遍。以此善行，愿我迅速成就，无量寿佛怙主。如是等等。以及从见到非时死之征兆时起。如是等等。以及自此中阴之时起。如是等等，随力回向发愿即可。顶礼文殊师利。贤劫诸佛之自在，释迦顶髻。殊胜补处弥庞文殊。观世音自在，金刚手等。祈请诸佛菩萨。因陀罗部底，吉祥萨ra哈。鲁伊巴，格热巴，黑行者。龙树，月称，无著兄弟等。祈请印度班智达成就者们。无量光。

I rejoice in all the lands. I urge all the victorious ones residing in the ten directions to turn the sacred wheel of Dharma. For the sake of all sentient beings, I beseech them not to pass into nirvana for hundreds of kalpas. I dedicate all the merits, exemplified by this, for the sake of being born in the blissful realm and attaining Buddhahood. Thus, perform the seven-branch practice. To elaborate a little, after reciting either "Sugata" or "Newly Rising Sun," pray to the embodiment of all refuges, the victorious Amitayus, the protector Avalokiteśvara, the mighty Mahāsthāmaprāpta, and all their retinues. Recite this three times, etc. And in connection with that, pray, "Grant me the knowledge of immortal life." Pray that you will be blessed to be born in the Sukhavati realm immediately after death. After making as many prayers as possible, at the end, visualize that from the bodies of all the refuge objects and from the vase in the hands of Amitayus, a stream of immortal nectar of life flows and dissolves into all parts of your body. Finally, visualize that all the refuge objects dissolve into your heart, and you yourself transform into the form of the victorious Amitayus with one face and two arms, and from the HRIH (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Shame) at your heart, rays of light emanate. Visualize that all the life, glory, and merit of the demons and the dead are drawn in the form of light and nectar of various colors and the eight auspicious symbols, and dissolve into the HRIH (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Shame) syllable and mantra garland at your heart. Recite Oṃ Amaraṇi Jīvantaye Svāhā (Tibetan: ༀ་ཨ་མ་ར་ཎཱི་ཛི་ཝནྟི་ཡེ་སྭཱཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ अमरणि जीविति ये स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ amaraṇi jīviti ye svāhā, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, Immortal, Life, Grant, Svaha) a hundred times, etc., as much as possible. If desired, recite the long dhāraṇī as well. Finally, recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra, or Oṃ Vajrasattva Hūṃ (Tibetan: ༀ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་ཧཱུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ वज्रसत्त्व हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajrasattva hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, Vajrasattva, Hum) three times. "By this merit, may I quickly attain, the protector Amitayus." And so on. And from seeing the signs of untimely death. And so on. And from this bardo. And so on, make whatever aspirations and dedications are appropriate. Homage to Mañjughoṣa. The sovereign of the fortunate aeon, the crest jewel of the Shakyas. The supreme regent, Mipham Jampel Yang. Avalokiteśvara, Vajrapani, and so on. I pray to all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Indrabhuti, the glorious Saraha. Luipa, Ghantapa, and Krishnacharya. Nagarjuna, Chandrakirti, Asanga, Vasubandhu, and so on. I pray to all the Indian Pandits and Siddhas. Amitabha.
