Commentary on the Words of "Mig Tsema" - A Garland of Flowers. Commentary on the Words of "Mig Tsema" - A Garland of Flowers. This is the commentary on the words of "Mig Tsema" entitled "A Garland of Flowers." Namo Guru Manjughoshaya (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思:敬礼 गुरु मञ्जुघोषाय,guru mañjughoṣāya,Homage to Guru Manjughosha). Knowing all beings to be like illusions, and without attachment to what is true, the source of unbiased love, the great treasure, powerful Avalokiteshvara! Without the stain of ignorance in all that is to be known, being the master of knowing as it is, inseparable from Manjushri! Surpassing all who see all the teachings, the crown jewel of the scholars of the snowy land of Tibet, born in Amdo Tsongkhapa! The peerless lama, whose name is glorious Lozang Drakpa, I pray at his feet, grant supreme and common siddhis! Here, to explain the meaning of the words of "Mig Tsema," which is known as the main and essential prayer of the great Je Tsongkhapa, there are two parts: the preliminary and the main subject. First, Je Lama himself is in essence inseparable from Je Jetsun Jamyang, therefore his inconceivable qualities are the basis. Moreover, in the pure vision prophecy of Lhodrak Drupchen, he is shown to be an emanation of Maitreya. Gyalwa Wensa Pa said that he was an emanation of the Buddha, so it is difficult to be certain. In this life, he also took the form of an ordinary, pure monk, and with the three activities of hearing, thinking, and meditating, and the three activities of teaching, debating, and writing, except for the protectors of India, Nagarjuna and Aryadeva, all other scholars and siddhas were overwhelmed by him. Not to mention the scholars and siddhas of Tibet, it goes without saying, and these things must be known from the biographies. This is a straightforward statement of the truth, and it is not an exaggerated statement like a poet using excellent imagination as an ornament. This prayer is from the scattered writings of Je's collected works: Immaculate wisdom, master Manjushri, Immeasurable love, great treasure Avalokiteshvara, Crown jewel of the scholars of the snowy land, I bow to the lotus feet of Zhonnu Lodro. I, the bee who desires liberation, also pray for protection. It is said that Je himself offered it to his lama, Jetsun Redawa, and he said, "This praise is not suitable for me, it is suitable for you."

It is said that when the syllable "Sa" (earth) was uttered, it was offered back to the venerable Lama. At that time, "limitless" referred to the absence of focus. It is said that the substitute for Redawa was transformed into the venerable one himself, as is commonly recounted. The second part has two divisions: the meaning of the words and a slight analysis of it. The first is: Compassion is of three types: compassion focused on sentient beings, compassion focused on phenomena, and compassion without focus. The first is: Compassion that desires to save from suffering without the arising of aspects such as the impermanence and lack of inherent existence of sentient beings as the object of focus. The second is: Compassion that desires to save from suffering by distinguishing sentient beings as impermanent and empty of independently existing entities. The third is: Compassion that desires to save from suffering through the arising of the aspect of sentient beings lacking inherent existence. Of these three, the latter is the most supreme. If we take the latter as the main one, then first, having ascertained that the object of focus, suffering sentient beings, are inherently empty, then, in the manner of thinking, "I shall liberate all these sentient beings who are thus devoid of inherent existence from all suffering," the affection without the attachment of grasping at true existence is the source of great compassion, and therefore a great treasure. One who possesses these qualities is equal to Avalokiteśvara. Moreover, there is no slightest stain of error in directly seeing all knowable things encompassed by the how-many and the how-much, and the principal master who knows them clearly as they are is inseparable from Manjushri. Furthermore, having directly seen all the essential points of the sutras and tantras, and especially the profound meanings that none of the previous scholars and accomplished ones in this land of snows (Tibet) were able to realize, he is revered by many scholars of the world, and especially by all the scholars in the snowy land of Tibet. Therefore, Shar Tsongkhapa, who is like a jewel in his crown, is the place name of the place where he was born in Tsongkha. It is said that this is because there are continuous ridges and because it is a place where onions are planted. When he was ordained in the presence of Dharma Lord Dondrup Rinchen, he was given the name "Losang Drakpa Pal." Remembering those special qualities, I respectfully pray at the lotus feet, the lowest part of his body.
