There was a person who had strong faith in the Prajnaparamita, the Mother of the Buddhas. He stole a jewel from his father and offered it to a nun who was teaching the Prajnaparamita. His father found out about this and scolded him, saying, "Jewels are for kings to possess. Monks and nuns should be content with little, but you are not like that." With that, he snatched the jewel away. The monk, just before his death, made a prayer that his disciple would be reborn as a prince. As a result, he was reborn as a king named Sakya Yong, who had strong faith in the Prajnaparamita. He set out to search in all directions for someone who could teach the Prajnaparamita. At that time, there was a teacher named Singha Sangpo, who was born into a royal family and had become a monk. He was learned in all the tenets of both internal and external schools, and especially well-versed in the meaning of the Prajnaparamita. He asked his Khenpo, Namnang Sangpo, for the practice of Maitreya and practiced it. In a dream, he dreamed of a monk with saffron-colored robes and beautiful conduct, who told him, "Go to Khasarpani in the east!" He woke up and went there, fasting for three days and examining his dreams. At dawn, in a dream, he saw the upper bodies of deities emerging from thick clouds in the sky above the Gandhola of the Odantapuri Vihara, making offerings with various substances. He asked what they were doing, and they replied, "We are making offerings to the venerable Maitreya, who is teaching the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita." He gazed for a long time and saw the venerable Maitreya with a golden face, adorned with a stupa on his crown, and his right hand in the teaching mudra. He prostrated and made offerings, and asked, "Now that there are many commentaries on your treatises, which one should I follow?" Maitreya replied, "You should thoroughly understand all the treatises, then gather the essence and compose your own treatise." He woke up, made offerings, and went from east to west in search of a patron to sponsor the writing of the treatise. King Sakya Yong heard that the teacher Singha Sangpo was very learned, so he sent messengers to invite him. The messengers found him and invited him to the palace. In accordance with the commentaries of the noble ones, he wrote the Eight Chapters of the Condensed Meaning of the Twenty Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, as well as the Great Commentary on the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, the Meaningful Commentary, and the Compendium of Realizations.

It is said that he performed activities such as making offerings and meditating on the Prajñāpāramitā. It is said that in the commentary on the Eight Thousand Stanza Prajñāpāramitā, the glorious Dharmapāla acted as the patron, and it was done at the monastery of the three Tsawa, called Trikatu. The scholar Śerab Jungne Lodrö thought that the teacher Simha Bhadra was manifestly directed towards the benefit of beings, and when he taught the Prajñāpāramitā, he became discouraged because there were many different opinions in many texts, and the explanations of the teachers also contradicted each other. When he stayed in solitude, the Bhagavan Maitreya, who possessed great compassion, also explained the Bhagavati with realization in order to dispel his discouragement. It is said that this was obtained later. It is said that the teacher Chökyi Beshen made the virtuous friend happy for seventeen years, and it is said that he was taken care of by Maitreya in a dream. However, this can be found in the four scholarly commentaries of the teacher himself, and it is said that it relies on the commentaries of two particularly eminent ones. In the great commentary, it says, "This should be regarded as authoritative because it is a written account of what was said by the noble Asanga and others," and "Through the power of the noble Vimuktisena, from the perspective of seeing the meaning." His disciple, known as the teacher Buddha Jñānapāda, who received empowerment from Mañjuśrī, at the assembly, the teacher Guhya requested to endure even if his eyes were gouged out, and he gave him eyes that could see both day and night. Urged by his disciple Guṇamitra, he composed the Compendium of Explanations. He also composed fourteen Dharma teachings confirmed by the Guhyasamāja, including the Mañjuśrī Oral Instructions, the Samantabhadra Practice, Samantabhadrī, Self-Origination, Various Mandalas, Jewel Flame, Root Great Wisdom, Treasury of Verses, Drop of Liberation, Bodhicitta Drop, Auspicious Explanation, Entering the Fourth Empowerment, Torma, Homa, Offerings, Mandala, and Water Empowerment Practice, and so on.
