Although the sense faculties such as the eye, and consciousnesses such as eye consciousness, and all objects such as forms, are the source and the eighteen elements of the ultimate reality of the Dharma realm, they are not the eighteen elements of conventional designation. Because the characteristic of conventional earth is not hardness, and the characteristic of the eye is not seeing conventional forms, etc., the characteristics of the eighteen conventional elements are not these. As stated in the sutra taught by the noble Immaculate Intellect: 'Although the Dharma realm is the earth element, the Dharma realm is not the characteristic of hardness. Although the Dharma realm is the water element, the Dharma realm is not the characteristic of moisture. Although the Dharma realm is the fire element, the Dharma realm is not the characteristic of ripening. Although the Dharma realm is the wind element, the Dharma realm is not the characteristic of movement. Although the Dharma realm is the eye element, the Dharma realm is not the characteristic of seeing. Although the Dharma realm is the elements of ear, nose, tongue, body, mind, eye consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, and mind consciousness, the Dharma realm is not merely the characteristic of hearing, smelling, tasting, touching, distinguishing, and distinguishing forms, distinguishing sounds, distinguishing smells, distinguishing tastes, distinguishing tactile objects, and distinguishing dharmas. Although the Dharma realm is the element of form, sound, smell, taste, tactile objects, and dharmas, it is not the characteristic of being distinguished by eye consciousness, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind consciousness.' Similarly, although it is the ultimate earth, because it does not have the characteristic of hardness of conventional earth, it is not conventional earth. Similarly, although it is the ultimate water, fire, and wind, because it does not have the characteristics of moisture, burning, and movement of conventional water, fire, and wind, it is not conventional water, fire, and wind. Similarly, the eighteen elements including the sense faculties and objects are ultimate.

Although it is the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, the mundane自在者 (dbang po, lord), because the nature of the eighteen realms associated with objects is unreal, therefore the mundane自在者 (dbang po, lord) is not the eighteen realms associated with objects. As the Glorious Tantra says: The appearance of earth is not solid, the melted water body is not liquid, because it is not moist. The appearance of fire is not fire, movement is the body of wind, because there is nothing that moves, so it is not wind. Although it is the appearance of emptiness, the objects seen, white, green, and all kinds of great colors, are not colors. Although it possesses all appearances, it is not seen, this is because of the power of the defilements of one's own heart, the afflictions, and the demons. The commentary on it, "Immaculate Light," says: Now, the nature of form is explained by "earth," etc. Here, it appears as emptiness, so it is unreal, the appearance of earth seen is not solid. The appearance of melted water is like the water of a mirage, it is not water either, because there is no moisture. Similarly, the appearance of fire is not. The moving body of wind, because it is unreal, so there is nothing that moves, that is not wind. Because it is unreal, it is the appearance of emptiness, even so, it can be seen. Like a city of illusions, although it has colors such as white, because it is unreal, it is not color. Although it possesses all appearances, it is not seen by children at all times. Why is that? It is because of the power of the afflictive demons. It is because the life force flows in the left and right channels. This is certain. Similarly, in the commentary on the Vajra Heart, it also says: The essence is self-awareness, the essence of the Tathagata's wisdom, with which it holds, what is held and what holds, separated from the changes of the eighteen realms, therefore yogis have no external form, no seer, no eye, no eye consciousness. Similarly, there is no hearer, no sound, no ear consciousness. Similarly, there is no smell, no smeller, no nose consciousness. Similarly, there is no taste, no taster, no tongue consciousness. Similarly, there is no touch, no toucher, no body consciousness. Similarly, there is no Dharmadhatu, no holder, no mind consciousness. Therefore, the eye, etc.

are also not existent. Thus, the yogi should meditate on the precious suchness that is free from the eighteen elements, by preventing ignorance. That is the meaning. Thus, the aspect of the alaya-consciousness, the nature of the six objects, the eighteen elements cease, and the appearance of the alaya-wisdom, the nature of the six objects, the eighteen elements, which have always resided within oneself, become manifest. Those aspects of the alaya-wisdom, the self-appearance of the Great Seal, the self-nature of the Great Vehicle, the experience of the Great Madhyamaka, the emanation of the Tathagatagarbha, the profound movement of Other-Emptiness, the play of the Clear Light Dharmakaya, the profound appearance of the Prajnaparamita, all six objects of such samadhi should be recognized as the ultimate mind. Showing the general integration of the six objects.
