The nature of distinguishing the two truths. The nature of distinguishing the two truths. Second, distinguishing. The nature of the two truths is: First, all dharmas must be determined as mind. As it says in the Lankavatara Sutra: Just as a child is attached, the external object is meaningless. The mind disturbed by habitual tendencies, appears as an object. It is not real, it is only the nature of mind. Seeing external objects as real is inverted. Also, as it says in the Avatamsaka Sutra: The mind is like a painter, creating the aggregates. All the lands in the world, are all painted by the mind. Also, as it says in the Sutra of the Play of Avalokiteshvara, Avalokiteshvara asked: Then, do all Buddhas and sentient beings go through the path of mind? The Buddha replied: Just as kings and beggars, etc., can all walk on the great road, from the great road of mind, sentient beings and all Buddhas, all go through this road. Therefore, yogis should diligently practice the path of mind. Also, as it says in the Samadhiraja Sutra: Just as a young girl in a dream, sees a son born and die, she is happy when he is born, and unhappy when he dies. All dharmas should be known in the same way. Also, as it says in the sutra quoted in Vimalakirti and the Diamond Heart Commentary: Sons of the Buddhas, these three realms are only mind. Also, as it says in the Gur Tantra: Apart from the precious mind, there are no sentient beings and no Buddhas. Also, as it says in the Bodhicitta Commentary by the noble Nagarjuna: With the nature of the grasper and the grasped, whatever appearance of consciousness there is, other than consciousness, there is no external object. Therefore, in the nature of things, this separately appearing consciousness, turns into the appearance of form. Just as people with confused minds, see illusions, mirages, gandharva cities, etc. Likewise, form etc. are appearances. In order to eliminate self-grasping, the aggregates, elements, etc. are established. Those who abide in mind-only, even the greatly fortunate ones abandon that too. It means that abiding in the view that all appearances are only mind, they also abandon the view that the aggregates etc. are external objects. As it says in the Bodhicharyavatara: Red-hot iron

Who made it? Where did those female assemblies come from? All such things, the Buddha said, are sinful minds. And in the "Narrative of the Realization of the Seven Young Women": "The magician of various minds." And so on, countless scriptures show that all dharmas are mind. Because there are many letters, it is enough to omit them. Thus, having ascertained that all secular and Dharma matters are mind, the ultimate truth is the Alaya or wisdom. The conventional truth is the Alaya consciousness. The Alaya consciousness is all samsara. The Alaya wisdom is all nirvana. The Alaya consciousness is the subject. The Alaya wisdom is the nature of reality. The Alaya consciousness is the extreme. The Alaya wisdom is the Middle Way. The Alaya consciousness is ignorance. The Alaya wisdom is knowledge. The Alaya consciousness is impure. The Alaya wisdom is pure. The Alaya consciousness is delusion. The Alaya wisdom is prajna. The Alaya consciousness is conditioned. The Alaya wisdom is unconditioned. The Alaya consciousness is artificial. The Alaya wisdom is natural. The Alaya consciousness is impermanent. The Alaya wisdom is permanent.
