Emptiness is the nature of mind. Emptiness is the nature of mind. Text: The meaning of "emptiness is the nature of mind" is that whatever thoughts and discriminations appear in the mind are the forms of emptiness. Meditating on the five chakras as deities is also an appearance of the mind. The appearances of deities in the world and beyond, and the good and bad forms of the six realms, are also differences in merit. Therefore, one's own appearances are not separate from the appearances of deities. The so-called outer and inner emptiness does not mean meditating on emptiness after meditating on the deity's form, but rather that the deity's form itself is empty. The so-called union (zung 'jug) means that apart from the mind's nature, emptiness appearing as a deity, there is no need to seek a union from elsewhere. The so-called primordial wisdom is the wisdom that abandons what is to be abandoned and cultivates the antidote. The so-called unchanging means that since the mind is emptiness from the beginning, it does not change into anything. If it is said that bodies have been taken in countless immeasurable kalpas, then since the mind has not gone to countless immeasurable kalpas, it is primordial wisdom. Although it appears in the three times of past, present, and future, the primordial wisdom does not change except when divided into three times. The so-called two selves are the self of the person and the self of phenomena. Among these are the person, the self, and the selflessness. The person is the basis of the aggregates, elements, sense bases, and what arises from the elements, and so on. The self is the grasping of the object and the subject as two. Selflessness is the breaking down of the object into atomic parts, so that even a momentary consciousness is considered to be broken down because the object is broken down. The self of phenomena also includes phenomena, self, and selflessness. Phenomena is the emptiness of the mind's nature. The self is the grasping of phenomena as real, thereby grasping it as self. As it is said in the Great Mother Sutra, "From examining form onwards, up to omniscience." Selflessness is the realization that the self is emptiness. Therefore, the nature of mind is emptiness, not separate from anything. Thus it is said. The so-called one path is that there is no view, path, or result other than primordial wisdom. Since the mind is not something other than itself, all phenomena are of one nature. The so-called all grounds means that there is no need to rely on accumulating merit in the ten grounds, eleven grounds, five paths, three countless kalpas, etc., because the primordial

It is the earth pressing. There is no other land that is not the land of the Buddha. The saying that all dharmas are from the mind means that all appearances and sounds are not other than one's own mind. Appearance is not mind. Mind is not appearance. Thus, if appearance is not mind, then there must be a single established school, or a following of going and returning. If one becomes a Buddha, then all should be recognized as becoming Buddhas. Furthermore, the object follows, and karma follows the mind, and so on. If it is said that external objects are established, then appearance is the appearance of one's own mind. Thus, external objects are not established. The noble teacher said, "When I have no commitment," it is not that there is no commitment, but that one thing that has been committed must become a commitment. By committing to something that is free from extremes, I am without fault. If I have a commitment, if I commit to something with extremes, then at that time there is fault. Therefore, appearance is not desired as mind either. Thus, by saying that appearance is mind's appearance, one speaks of something that is free from extremes, and thus it is in accordance with the tenets of the noble teacher. If mind is not appearance, then it must go like a conscious object and so on. It does not go. Appearance and emptiness, there are three appearances and three emptinesses. The emptiness that is the most excellent of all aspects is also three. There, if appearance is exemplified by one such as form, seeing the naked form is appearance. Holding onto it there is increasing. Not seeing the form is obtaining. Becoming without thought is the emptiness that is the most excellent of all aspects. Sound and so on are also like that. The saying that everything is empty means that when the naked form is seen, that itself is emptiness, so everything is empty. There, if there is just a reversal of holding onto it, then there is no appearance of holding onto the appearance as form, so it is greatly empty. If one just does not see the form, then it is more excellent than the reversal of holding onto it, so it is extremely empty. The time of abiding in non-thought is not obtained by words, nor is it fabricated by the mind, but abiding naturally in non-thought is the emptiness that is the most excellent of all aspects. What is seen? Seeing, hearing, feeling, experiencing, remembering, touching, knowing, speaking, etc.
