"Covered with a shelf" means in the form of a shelf, similar to a shelf, this is the meaning. "There" means on a couch or chair placed under a shelf cover. "Preparation" means preparation of the back and so on. "It is covered by this," thus a cover; a cloth itself is a cover, a cloth-cover. "There is no water" here, excluding drinking water, he says, "there is no bathing water." 262. "Like the scales of merchants, a balance for drawing water" - this is the connection. "With long ropes and so on" - the word "and so on" includes ropes and the like. "Arahatthaghaṭiyanta" is a machine in the shape of a wheel with many spokes, with pots tied to each spoke, and rotated by one or two persons.
