(2) Predominance Condition 16. The phenomenon to be abandoned by insight for the phenomenon to be abandoned by insight is a condition by way of predominance condition – object predominance, conascence predominance. Object predominance – having made craving to be abandoned by insight a chief thing, one enjoys, delights in, having made that a chief thing, craving to be abandoned by insight arises, wrong view arises, having made wrong view a chief thing...etc.... Conascence predominance – the predominance of phenomena to be abandoned by insight for its associated... For the blind, it is a condition by way of the dominance condition. Co-arising dominance – the dominance to be abandoned by seeing is a condition for the associated aggregates and for the mind-originated material forms by way of the dominance condition. (3) 17. The phenomenon not to be abandoned by seeing is a condition for the phenomenon not to be abandoned by seeing by way of the dominance condition – object dominance, co-arising dominance. Object dominance – giving...etc...morality...etc...Uposatha observance...etc...formerly...etc... having arisen from jhana, one reflects, making jhana important, one enjoys and delights in it, making that important, craving not to be abandoned by seeing arises.
