(B) Or for whom the form-base will cease, for them the eye-base will arise? For those in their last existence, who are arising in the five-constituent realm, and for those who, having arisen in the formless realm, will attain final Nibbāna, for them, while arising, for them the form-base will cease, but for them the eye-base will not arise. For others, for them the form-base will cease, and the eye-base will arise. For whom the eye-base will arise, for them the mind-base... and so on... the phenomena-base will cease? Yes. Or for whom... Will the mind-object base not cease, and for him, will the eye base arise? For those in their last existence who are arising, and for those who, having arisen in the formless realm, will attain final Nibbāna: for them the mind-object base will cease, but for them the eye base will not arise. For others, for them the mind-object base will cease, and the eye base will arise. 212. (Ka) For whom will the nose base arise, for him/her will the form base cease? Yes. (Kha) Or for whom will the form base cease, for him/her will the nose base arise? For those in their last existence who are arising in the five-constituent existence, and for those who, having arisen in the form realm or the formless realm, will attain final Nibbāna: for those who are arising, for them the form base will cease, but for them the nose base will not arise. For others, for them the form base will cease, and the nose base will arise. For whom will the nose base arise, for him/her will the mind base... the mind-object base cease? Yes. Or for whom will the mind-object base cease, for him/her will the nose base arise? For those in their last existence who are arising, and for those who, having arisen in the form realm or the formless realm, will attain final Nibbāna: for them the mind-object base will cease, but for them the nose base will not arise. For others, for them the mind-object base will cease, and the nose base will arise. 213. For whom will the form base arise, for him/her will the mind base... the mind-object base cease? Yes. Or for whom will the mind-object base cease, for him/her will the form base arise? For those in their last existence who are arising, and for those who, having arisen in the formless realm, will attain final Nibbāna: for them the mind-object base will cease, but for them the form base will not arise. For others, for them the mind-object base will cease, and the form base will arise. 214. (Ka) For whom will the mind base... will the mind-base arise for him, will the dharma-base cease for him? Yes. (Kha) Or, for whom will the dharma-base cease, will the mind-base arise for him? For those in their last existence, when being reborn, for them the dharma-base will cease, but for them the mind-base will not arise. For others, for them the dharma-base will cease and the mind-base will arise. (Kha) Forward scope 215. Where the eye-base will arise… (etc.)… (Ga) Forward individual scopes 216. (Ka) For whom, where the eye-base will arise, will the ear-base cease there for him? Yes. (Kha) Or, for whom, where the ear-base will cease, will the eye-base arise there for him? For those in their last existence, when being reborn in the five-constituent realm, for them the ear-base will cease there, but for them the eye-base will not arise there. For others in the five-constituent realm, for them the ear-base will cease there and the eye-base will arise there. (Ka) For whom, where the eye-base will arise, will the nose-base cease there for him? For those in the form realm, for them the eye-base will arise there, but for them the nose-base will not cease there. For those in the sense realm, for them the eye-base will arise there and the nose-base will cease there. (Kha) Or, for whom, where the nose-base will cease, will the eye-base arise there for him? For those in their last existence, when being reborn in the sense realm, for them the nose-base will cease there, but for them the eye-base will not arise there. For others in the sense realm, for them the nose-base will cease there and the eye-base will arise there. (Ka) For whom, where the eye-base will arise, will the form-base cease there for him? Yes. (Kha) Or, for whom, where the form-base will cease, Will the eye-base arise for him there? For those in their last existence who are reborn in the five-constituent existence, for non-percipient beings, for them there the form-base will cease, but for them there the eye-base will not arise. For others in the five-constituent existence, for them there the form-base will cease and the eye-base will arise. (A) For whom wherever the eye-base will arise, for him there will the mind-base cease? Yes. (B) Or for whom wherever the mind-base will cease, for him there will the eye-base arise? For those in their last existence who are reborn in the five-constituent existence, for formless beings, for them there the mind-base will cease, but for them there the eye-base will not arise. For others in the five-constituent existence, for them there the mind-base will cease and the eye-base will arise. (A) For whom wherever the eye-base will arise, for him there will the phenomena-base cease? Yes. (B) Or for whom wherever the phenomena-base will cease, for him there will the eye-base arise? For those in their last existence who are reborn in the five-constituent existence, for non-percipient beings, for formless beings, for them there the phenomena-base will cease, but for them there the eye-base will not arise. For others in the five-constituent existence, for them there the phenomena-base will cease and the eye-base will arise. (Rooted in the eye-base) 217. (A) For whom wherever the nose-base will arise, for him there will the form-base cease? Yes. (B) Or for whom wherever the form-base will cease, for him there will the nose-base arise? For those in their last existence who are reborn in the sense-sphere, for form-sphere beings, for them there the form-base will cease, but for them there the nose-base will not arise. For others in the sense-sphere, for them there the form-base will cease and the nose-base will arise. For whom, where the nose-base will arise, for them, there the mind-base…pe… the phenomena-base will cease? Yes, it will. Or for whom, where the phenomena-base will cease, for them, there the nose-base will arise? For those in their last existence, who are reborn in the sense-sphere, for those in the form-sphere, for those in the formless-sphere, for them, there the phenomena-base will cease, but for them, there the nose-base will not arise. For the other beings in the sense-sphere, for them, there the phenomena-base will cease and the nose-base will arise. (Rooted in the Nose-base) 218. (a) For whom, where the form-base will arise, for them, there the mind-base will cease? For the non-percipient beings, for them, there the form-base will arise, but for them, there the mind-base will not cease. For the five-constituent beings, for them, there the form-base will arise and the mind-base will cease. (b) Or for whom, where the mind-base will cease, for them, there the form-base will arise? For those in their last existence, who are reborn in the five-constituent existence, for the formless beings, for them, there the mind-base will cease, but for them, there the form-base will not arise. For the other five-constituent beings, for them, there the mind-base will cease and the form-base will arise. (a) For whom, where the form-base will arise, for them, there the phenomena-base will cease? Yes, it will. (b) Or for whom, where the phenomena-base will cease, for them, there the form-base will arise? For those in their last existence, who are reborn in the five-constituent existence, for the formless beings, for them, there the phenomena-base will cease, but for them, there the form-base will not arise. For the other five-constituent beings, for the non-percipient beings, for them, there the phenomena-base will cease and the form-base will arise. (Rooted in the Form-base) 219. (a) For whom, where the mind-base will arise for him, will the phenomena-base cease for him there? Yes. (Kha) Or where the phenomena-base will cease for him, will the mind-base arise for him there? For those in their last existence, arising in the non-percipient realm, for them the phenomena-base will cease there, but the mind-base will not arise for them there. For others with four constituents, with five constituents, for them the phenomena-base will cease there and the mind-base will arise there. (Gha) The opposing individual 220. (Ka) For whom the eye-base will not arise, will the ear-base not cease for him? For those in their last existence, arising in the five-constituent realm, and those who, having arisen in the formless realm, will attain final Nibbāna, for them arising, the eye-base will not arise, but the ear-base will not cease for them. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent realm, for those in their last existence in the formless realm, and those who, having arisen in the formless realm, will attain final Nibbāna, for them passing away, the eye-base will not arise and the ear-base will not cease. (Kha) Or for whom the ear-base will not cease, will the eye-base not arise for him? Yes. (Ka) For whom the eye-base will not arise, will the nose-base not cease for him? For those in their last existence, arising in the sense-sphere realm, and those who, having arisen in the formless realm, will attain final Nibbāna, for them arising, the eye-base will not arise, but the nose-base will not cease for them.
