(Ka) For whom, where the nose-base does not arise, for them there, will the phenomena-base not arise? For all those passing away, for those being reborn without a nose, for them there, the nose-base does not arise, but for them there, the phenomena-base will arise. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense realm, for those in the form realm, in the formless realm, who are final-existents, for them there, the nose-base does not arise, and the phenomena-base will not arise. For those passing away from the five-constituent existence, for the formless beings, for them there, the form-base does not arise, but for them there, the mind-base... will not arise. For those attaining Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for those who are last-existents in the formless realm, for those passing away from the non-percipient beings, for them there, the eye-base does not arise and the mind-base will not arise. (B) Or for whom, or where, the mind-base will not arise, for them there, does the eye-base not arise? For those who are last-existents, arising in the five-constituent existence, for those arising in the non-percipient state, for them there, the mind-base will not arise, but for them there, the eye-base does arise. For those attaining Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for those who are last-existents in the formless realm, for those passing away from the non-percipient beings, for them there, the mind-base will not arise and the eye-base does not arise. (A) For whom, or where, the eye-base does not arise, for them there, will the dharma-base not arise? For all who are passing away, for those arising in the formless realm, for them there, the eye-base does not arise, but for them there, the dharma-base will arise. For those attaining Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for those who are last-existents in the formless realm, for them there, the eye-base does not arise and the dharma-base will not arise. (B) Or for whom, or where, the dharma-base will not arise, for them there, does the eye-base not arise? For those who are last-existents, arising in the five-constituent existence, for them there, the dharma-base will not arise, but for them there, the eye-base does arise. For those attaining Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for those who are last-existents in the formless realm, for them there, the dharma-base will not arise and the eye-base does not arise. (Rooted in the eye-base) 103. (A) For whom, or where, the mind-base does not arise, for them there, will the dharma-base not arise? For all who are passing away, for those arising in the mindless state, for them there, the mind-base does not arise, but for them there, the dharma-base will arise. For those attaining Nibbāna, for them there, the mind-base does not arise and the dharma-base will not arise. (B) Or for whom, or where For whom the mind-object base will not arise, for him, there, does the mind base not arise? For those in their last existence, who are arising, for them, there, the mind-object base will not arise, but for them, there, the mind base *does* arise. For those who are fully extinguished, for them, there, the mind-object base will not arise, and the mind base will not arise. For whom the eye base arose, for him, will the ear base arise? For those in their last existence, and who, having arisen in the formless realm, will attain full extinction, for them, the eye base arose, but for them, the ear base will not arise. For others, for them, the eye base also arose, and the ear base will also arise. Or for whom the ear base will arise, for him, did the eye base arise? Yes. For whom the eye base arose, for him, will the nose base arise? For those in their last existence, and who, having arisen in the form realm or the formless realm, will attain full extinction, for them, the eye base arose, but for them, the nose base will not arise. For others, for them, the eye base also arose, and the nose base will also arise. Or for whom... ...did the eye base arise? Yes. For whom the eye base arose, for him, will the visible-object base arise? For those in their last existence, and who, having arisen in the formless realm, will attain full extinction, for them, the eye base arose, but for them, the visible-object base will not arise. For others, for them, the eye base also arose, and the visible-object base will also arise. Or for whom... ...did the eye base arise? Yes. For whom the eye base arose, for him, will the mind base... ...the mind-object base arise? For those in their last existence, for them, the eye base arose, but for them, the mind-object base will not arise. For others, for them, the eye base also arose, and the mind-object base will arise. For those in the sense-sphere, those of their last existence, and those in the form-sphere, for them there, the eye-base arose, but for them there, the nose-base will not arise. For other beings in the sense-sphere, for them there, the eye-base arose and the nose-base will arise. (Kha) Or again, for whom, where... ...did arise? Yes. (Ka) For whom, where the eye-base arose, for them there, will the form-base arise? For those of their last existence in the five-constituent realms, for them there, the eye-base arose, but for them there, the form-base will not arise. For other five-constituent beings, for them there, the eye-base arose and the form-base will arise. (Kha) Or again, for whom, where the form-base will arise, for them there, did the eye-base arise? For non-percipient beings, for them there, the form-base will arise, but for them there, the eye-base did not arise. For five-constituent beings, for them there, the form-base will arise and the eye-base arose. (Ka) For whom, where the eye-base arose, for them there, will the mind-base arise? For those of their last existence in the five-constituent realms, for them there, the eye-base arose, but for them there, the mind-base will not arise. For other five-constituent beings, for them there, the eye-base arose and the mind-base will arise. (Kha) Or again, for whom, where the mind-base will arise, for them there, did the eye-base arise? For formless beings, for them there, the mind-base... the mind-base will arise, but for them there the eye-base did not arise. For those in the five-constituent existence, for them there the mind-base will arise and the eye-base did arise. (A) For whom, where the eye-base did arise, for him, there will the mind-object base arise? For those in the five-constituent existence who are in their last existence, for them there the eye-base did arise, but for them there the mind-object base will not arise.
