To the Buddha Padumuttara, The world’s chief, the steadfast one; As he wandered for alms, Bearing supreme fame. 82. Taking a choice fruit, With a mind serene; To the worthy hero, The Teacher, I gave. 83. By that karma, O chief of bipeds, World’s chief, best of men; I have attained the unshakeable state, Having abandoned victory and defeat. 84. A hundred thousand aeons ago, The gift I then gave; I know no bad destination, This is the fruit of the supreme gift. 85. My defilements are burnt… I dwell without taints. 86.
