Due to a duty-case, how many offenses are incurred? Due to a duty-case, five offenses are incurred. A nun who follows an expelled nun if she does not desist after the third admonition, an offense of Dukkata for the motion; offenses of Thullaccaya for the two declarations; at the conclusion of the declaration, an offense of Pārājika. Monks who follow a schismatic if they do not desist after the third admonition, an offense of Saṅghādisesa; with a wicked view if he does not desist after the third admonition, an offense of Pācittiya – due to a duty-case, these five offenses are incurred. Those offenses of the four transgressions how many transgressions do they partake of…? of the seven settlements by how many settlements are they settled? Those offenses of the four transgressions partake of two transgressions – sometimes a transgression of morality, sometimes a transgression of conduct. A duty arises in two ways – by motion or by announcement. By how many settlements is a duty-dispute settled? A duty-dispute is settled by one se is settled by means – by settlement in presence. How many settlements? Seven settlements. It may be that these seven settlements become ten settlements, ten settlements become seven settlements, by way of the matter, by a method. And how may it be? For a dispute case, two settlements. For an accusation case, four settlements. For an offense case, three settlements. For a duty case, one settlement.
