A man sends a bhikkhu: “Go, venerable sir, tell such-and-such women, protected by their mother, and protected by their father, and protected by their mother and father: ‘Be, indeed, the wives of such-and-such a man, bought with money, and living by choice, and living for possessions.’” He accepts, investigates, reports back, an offense of Saṅghādisesa. Thus, it should be made to increase both ways. A man sends a bhikkhu: “Go, venerable sir, tell such-and-such women, protected by their mother, and protected by their father, and protected by their mother and father, and protected by their brother, and protected by their sister, and protected by their relatives, and protected by their clan, and protected by the Dhamma, and protected by a guardian, and protected by a penalty: ‘Be, indeed, the wives of such-and-such a man, bought with money, and living by choice, and living for possessions, and living by a cloth, and living by a water-pot, and having a head-load removed, and a slave and a wife, and a worker and a wife, and one taken for a moment.” He accepts, he investigates, he brings back, there is an offense of Sanghādisesa. The section on "both increase" is finished. For a woman protected by her mother, the mother sends a bhikkhu: “Go, venerable sir, tell so-and-so: ‘Let her be so-and-so’s wife, living by choice… …living by wealth, living by cloth, one who has taken a water-pot, one with a removed head-pad, a slave and a wife, a worker and a wife, one taken by a banner, one taken for a moment.’” He accepts, he investigates, he brings back, there is an offense of Sanghādisesa. The mother of Māturakkhitā sends a bhikkhu – "Go, venerable sir, tell so-and-so – 'Let her be the wife of so-and-so, dwelling by choice and dwelling with wealth (etc.) dwelling by choice and for a moment, dwelling by choice and bought with money.'" He accepts, he examines, he brings back (the message), there is an offense of Sanghadisesa. The Bound Cycle, the root is condensed. 325. The mother of Māturakkhitā sends a bhikkhu – "Go, venerable sir, tell so-and-so – 'Let her be the wife of so-and-so, for a moment and bought with money (etc.) for a moment and dwelling by choice (etc.) for a moment and captured by banner.'" He accepts, he examines, he brings back (the message), there is an offense of Sanghadisesa. The Mother-Cycle is finished. The father of Piturakkhitā, a bhikkhu (sends a monk)... (etc.)... For a woman protected by parents, the parents send a monk... For a woman protected by a brother, the brother sends a monk... For a woman protected by a sister, the sister sends a monk... For a woman protected by relatives, the relatives send a monk... For a woman protected by clan, the clan sends a monk... For a woman protected by Dhamma, fellow Dhamma-followers send a monk... For a woman who is protected, the one who has taken possession of her sends a monk... For a woman with a penalty, the one who has imposed the penalty sends a monk – "Go, venerable sir, and tell so-and-so – 'Let so-and-so's wife be a woman bought with money.'" He accepts, he investigates, he brings back (the message), there is an offense of Saṅghādisesa. For a woman with a penalty, the one who has imposed the penalty sends a monk – "Go, venerable sir, and tell so-and-so – 'Let so-and-so's wife be a woman living by choice... (etc.)... a woman living for enjoyment... a woman living by a cloth... a woman with a water-pot... a woman with a removed head-load... a slave and a wife... a worker and a wife... a woman captured in war... a temporary wife.'" He accepts, he investigates, he brings back (the message), there is an offense of Saṅghādisesa. Concluding statements. 327. For a woman with a penalty, the one who has imposed the penalty sends a monk – "Go, venerable sir, and tell so-and-so – 'Let so-and-so's wife be a woman bought with money and living by choice... (etc.)... a woman bought with money and living for enjoyment... a woman bought with money and a temporary wife.'" He accepts, he investigates, he brings back (the message), there is an offense of Saṅghādisesa. Kha the circle of the stick. 328. For one with a stick, where the stick has been placed, he sends a bhikkhu, "Go, venerable sir, tell so-and-so: 'Let her be so-and-so's wife, living by choice and living by means... ...living by choice and for a moment... ...living by choice and bought with money.'" He accepts, he investigates, he brings back, there is an offense of Sanghādisesa. The circle of the bound, the root is condensed. 329. For one with a stick, where the stick has been placed, he sends a bhikkhu, "Go, venerable sir, tell so-and-so: 'Let her be so-and-so's wife, for a moment and bought with money... ...for a moment and living by choice... ...for a moment and captured by banner.'" He accepts, he investigates, he brings back, there is an offense of Sanghādisesa. The one-root is finished. The two-root, the three-root, up to the nine-root, should be done in the same way. A mother-protected woman sends a bhikkhu, "Go, venerable sir, tell so-and-so: 'I am so-and-so's..." the wife of so-and-so, bought with money.’” He accepts, he examines, he brings back, there is an offense of Sanghādisesa.
