Now, by the power and blessing of glorious protector, the powerful and virtuous one, having obtained mastery in my heart, through the strength of being inseparable from you, may I protect the Buddha's teachings! Making such aspirations will bring auspiciousness and increase wealth and people. Then, entrusting the activity, recite: Oṃ rulu rulu hūṃ bhyo hūṃ. Oṃ burkur iziki phyi utsma krota hūṃ phaṭ. Visualize myself clearly as Heruka, and many rays of light from the victorious ones of the ten directions dissolve into me, making me appear glorious and think that I am endowed with power. Visualize many small wrathful ones emanating from my heart, urging the protector to act. Visualize the retinue rising and going forth. Then, at the session break, offer medicine and torma to Heruka and the protector. Then is the praise: Nine Heads, or, Hūṃ. Also, by offering a grand smoke offering, strike the vajra bell fiercely. Praise with these and engage in activity. Then, perform a wrathful assembly offering. To the protector, say: Great ascetic, please listen. Until: Completely receive. In between, offer to the protector and his retinue. Then, enjoy the assembly offering. Make the remainder offering. During this time, make the torma. If you are going to do suppression or zor, do it at this time as well. Protect the teachings, gather the mandala. Dedicate the merit. The accomplishment method of the protector is complete. This is the oral instruction for recitation. Homage to the Vajra Corpse Eater. Whoever desires to constantly abide in the fourfold approach and accomplishment should do it like this. If guiding like an emanation, from the root text: rulu bhyo. This means setting a limit on one's own life. Among the five ways of guiding rulu: rulu guides the messengers to the assembly. The messenger's palace is the land of Lanka. The mountain of Oddiyana, the Malaya mountain. The fierce peak of the red plain of Kongka. From the charnel ground of Bamri Thodma, the palace of the dakinis. The wrathful lord, the virtuous black one, making loud and flashing sounds, prepares to confront the enemy. When reciting rali rali, the eyes, distinct in black and white, bulge out, subduing with red radiance. Subdue all that is diminished. When reciting hala hala, opening the mouth with a terrifying laugh of haha, the teeth are filled with iron razors. The razors pierce the heart with a thumping sound.
