At the age of twenty-two, he married Jo mo rGya gar. At the age of twenty-seven, he went to Sa skya's 'Khon Grags pa rGyal mtshan and Lama sTag so ba and received the instructions of the three tantras and the Mal tradition of bDe mchog. At the age of twenty-nine, he married Jo mo Ser rGyan. At the age of thirty, he went to the Kharaq Bon drug's Lama skyi ston Grags pa and received the bDe mchog lhan skyes A phyi tradition, rJe btsun ma rwa lugs, and the Chos skor of mGon po bya rog ma and Tshal ba. In general, he relied on many learned and accomplished lamas, received many instructions, and realized their intentions. He also gave many explanations of the tantras and instructions, placing all beings on the path to maturation and liberation. In the darkness of the six realms of samsara, gazing with the clear and pure eye of wisdom, with the lamp of five-fold light, this empty and dense darkness was cleared in an instant. This is a brief biography of my guru Jo Eber. His father was Dawa Bum, the younger brother of the learned lama Nyibum, and his mother was Queen Alu. He was born as their son. Until the age of seven, he was like a mute. From seven onwards, his wisdom flowed unhindered, and he had no obstacles in anything. From the age of eight to eighteen, he heard the empowerment and instructions of the supreme secret from his kind uncle Shang Nyibum, as well as all the tantras, and gave explanations on the Sound Transformation. From the age of nineteen to twenty, he heard the instructions of the three tantras from the Dharma Lord Sakya Translator, as well as the Hevajra Marpa and Gyoi traditions. After that, he heard the Collected Topics of Valid Cognition from Geshe Chumikpa. At the age of twenty-two, he heard all the instructions of the accomplished Mitra Joki from Lama Khropupa. He heard the instructions on the scattered Great Seal Mahamudra from the Nepalese Drakpa Bumme. In general, the work of hearing and contemplation was completed, and the age of firm decision was until thirty-six. He relied on many lamas who were merely connected by Dharma, such as Jowo Sang and those who were skilled in Dharma. Regarding the appearance of deities, he said that he saw all the thangkas of deities, clay figures, and many bronze statues. However, he clearly said that when he went to Lhasa to offer butter lamps to Jowo and prayed, from the face of Jowo, he saw Vajrapani, father and mother, and the face of Avalokiteshvara in the midst of four or five bindus surrounded by five-colored rainbows. Also, once at dawn, he saw Amitayus surrounded by rainbows and shimmering bindus. This may be his merit. We are not just a lineage of longevity, I myself am doing well. If it were not for the self-arisen lamp of clear light, we fathers and sons have such things, so there is no harm, he said. He remained in the state of unchanging great bliss. He spoke the uninterrupted, definitive Dharma. His mind was happy in the light that is free from emptiness. He passed away at the end of the first month of autumn in the Year of the Rabbit, and was connected to the rainbow net for seven days.
