The Great Sutra of the Net of a Thousand Gods and Demons is complete. In Indian language: Āryavipule Praveśa Mahāsūtra. In Tibetan: The Great Sutra of the Holy One Residing in the Vast City. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus have I heard. At one time, the Blessed One was dwelling in a reed grove, in a boat-like dwelling. Then, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Ānanda: Ānanda, go to the vast city. The Venerable One replied: Yes, I will do so. The Venerable Ānanda listened to the Blessed One's instructions. Then, the Blessed One traveled through the land of the Licchavis and arrived at the vast city, residing in the mango grove that guarded the vast city. Then, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Ānanda: Ānanda, go to the vast city, go and place your foot on the threshold of the gate, and recite these foundations of secret mantras and these verses. Visa rata. Visa rata. Visa rata. Visa rata. The Buddha, with compassion for the world, declared it. The intention of all Buddhas, the thought of all Pratyekabuddhas, the thought of all Arhats, the thought of all learners, the thought of all Shravakas, the thought of all those who possess truthful words, the thought of Dharma, the thought of Brahma, the thought of each Brahma, the thought of the Lord of Desire, the thought of Indra, the thought of the gods, the thought of the Lord of the Asuras, the thought of all Asuras, the thought of the messengers of the Asuras, the thought of all beings.
